Only people I can see taking the piss are people listing a Charity print 5 minutes after its been released. They didn't even make their listing a partial charity donation. Have a heart mate, be less quick to criticise, its for The Hepatitis C Trust. How would you feel if you'd worked your arse off for your charity and alleged art lovers were making thousands out of your release? I hope the charity manage to make a stack load more money.

There are ap's of almost every edition, normally released to a limited group but here its released to a bigger group. Cant see the problem? If they would have extended the edition, that would have been another thing!
Just received my print from the standard edition and must say that it really is a nice print! Not sure if the APs are the hand finished uncut once or the same as regular edition?

Isn't it usually 10% of the edition? Perhaps someone can confirm?

Art On A Postcard, by WOOF on Jul 14, 2017 20:23:49 GMT 1, Just did some fun research into uk raffles and lotteries, turns out what they did might technically be illegal, especially if the raffle drawing didn't happen at the event, thanks to the Gambling Act 2005. Not that it matters, but i feel like they've gotten real snotty with people via social media about something they could potentially land themselves in hot water for doing. (not a lawyer, so i could be reading the law wrong...)

I don't really see your point, especially as the draw was held at the event, in full public view, even with draw ticket holders present. Its an odd thing to accuse a charity of. PS a raffle or lottery involves a cash transaction, this was a prize draw, the print was purchased and then the lucky few were entered into a free draw.

To be clear, I said might be illegal, not is illegal, and even caveated the entire statement at the end.
And again, not a lawyer, but i'm not sure the law sees a difference between buying something and then being entered into a drawing because of it vs. buying entrance into a drawing that comes with a free print.

The Law does differentiate, the Gambling Act would not apply in this case. I believe their perceived snottiness was probably a reasonable reaction to some extremely nasty and inappropriate accusations on social media, calling the charities integrity into question. Good luck if you go for an AP.

Art On A Postcard, by chads007 on Jul 16, 2017 19:36:50 GMT 1, We are very happy to be able to offer another chance to own Harland Miller's Hate's Outta Date. Demand was unbelievably high for the print and we've received so many requests from people asking for APs that we haven't been able to answer everyone as we are such a small team.
We have discussed what to do with Harland and he's very kindly made all five APs available to Art on a Postcard. We are therefore going to raffle them as we have no way of prioritising who should be allocated one.
There will only 200 tickets available. They will cost £50 each with one available per person. Free tickets will go to numbers 31-40 who were in the overnight queue at Art Car Boot Fair as we appreciate their dedication. The book from the queue has been made available to us so if you were one these people please contact us at info@artonapostcard.com.
The prints will be available on 16 July after 3pm and before 6pm. We will not give out an exact time to prevent the website from crashing.
The prints are proofed and editioned at Jealous Print Studio.
