Framing advice - kaws uniqlo, by trees on Jul 14, 2017 18:53:43 GMT 1, Was wondering if anyone got their kaws/uniqlo postersl posters framed. What's the best way to have them framed? Obviously they are just posters and I don't want to spend a ton but I would like to keep them in shape they ever get sold.
On a side note. I had to buy these on the secondary market. was it pretty standard to receive some of these dinged up from uniqlo?

Framing advice - kaws uniqlo, by maxamaxa2 on Jul 14, 2017 19:41:21 GMT 1, These were rolled in mini tubes and mine were wobbly as hell. Visually I guess drymounting them would be best (obviously not for resale value thou), and then in a black frame with a white mount with black border.
...I did put mine in cheap metal frames, absolutely not the best way to do it. (Its in my home office and the cable was removed but this is the photo I have hehe)

What was the condition like ? I've been offered a set but I'm a mint freak and don't want to waste my time if they are not great.... cheers

You should expect posters and nothing else, they are on gloss quite thin paper, hard rolled in small tubes. Creases, waves and potentially dings should be expected. Perhaps possible to flatten, haven't tried.
On the other hand, if you put the money in dry mounting them you will have a beautiful set of giant kaws posters for a few hundred. No resale value after that treatment but they sure makes an office wall nicer
As usual, if you can afford the prints instead thats both a another world and probably a lot cheaper in the long run, every penny you put in posters will be wasted due to the no resale value problem.

Framing advice - kaws uniqlo, by Happy Shopper on Jul 15, 2017 12:12:31 GMT 1, I bought a set and one of them (luckily the least attractive) was quite badly creased through bad handling and being too tightly rolled. Unless the seller takes them out of their tubes though there's no way of telling. I got them pretty cheap, so I don't mind too much!

Framing advice - kaws uniqlo, by sleazus1slord on Jul 15, 2017 17:04:36 GMT 1, They fit Ikea Ribba frames perfectly. I'd suggest flattening for at least a week out of the tube before framing to get any ripples or warping out of the paper. Around $20 for the poster, and $15 for frame is a nice value proposition. Excellent for gifts.

Thanks for the tip. Are these the ones you got ? Frame size says 24 x 35 3/4. Also I'm assuming u took the mat out ? Just want to make sure I get the right ones.
