This new body of work is a sobering meditation on the possible future for this world. The current political climate in the US and growing tensions in the world are frightening. There is enormous uncertainty and anxiety about the long-term effects this presidency will have on our freedom, relations with the world, and the protection of the environment. Implosion to me implies a collapse inwards, into a hollow center. It's like being sucked into a vacuum, a void, falling into nothing, loosing the soul. For me these new paintings serve as a catharsis for working through these fears, and anxieties.

More relevant when 16 of the 17 hottest years on record have occurred since 2000. Meanwhile the US President refutes evidence based science and journalism. We're no better in the UK. This is art as necessary social conscience and deserves a bigger audience.

Personally prefer the older 'national geographic' style cut away pieces but he can't keep doing those I guess. Love the shark piece from this show.

That's kinda how 1xRun does their releases. It is limited to those 250 and looks like it will sell out before the timer runs out. Releases that don't sell out within their time are moved to their print archive. Every once in a while they will open up their archives to sell any remaining prints.
