I bought a Valium last week and arranged with Eyestorm to have this dropped round so this can be resigned. Apparently, a consignment are sent a few times a year to Hirst to resign these.
Having emailed my contact all this week with no news, spoke to the gallery on Wednesday to be told the guy I was dealing with had left, to say I was cra**ing myself that the guy did a runner with my print was an understatement.
Someone finally got back to me today to say that they have the print and Eyestorm has very recently been bought and in a bit of transition. All sounded very odd to me as the bloke didn't really know what was happening.
They said they can still handle the re signing on my behalf, although this service falls under the old Eyestorm company and not a service of the new company, or look to do this myself and contact Hirst people directly.
The print has to go to a framer to be removed, then to Hirst for re sign and then re framed.
The print is huge about 1.5m by 1.5m and weighs a tonne, so not the easiest to move around. Any suggestions, shall I let Eyestorm carry this out and hope all works out or do this myself.

I thought it was quite strange to see a sig in ink rather than pencil.

I wouldn't worry about it, if one of their ex-employees has said they'd arrange the re-signing for you then they should arrange it. I'd let them sort it all out for you.

I think the last Valium to sell at auction was just under £8.7K, available in a couple of gallery's for about £12K.
