Who Did it Better?, by MGK1 on Sept 12, 2017 23:47:02 GMT 1, Christoph Niemann is an incredible illustrator in his own right but this piece entitled 'Life Threatening Life' (from 2015 I think) has not be inspired by Banksy's Weston Super Mare - subconsciously or otherwise.
I personally prefer the Niemann version - thoughts?

Who Did it Better?, by mike3489 on Sept 13, 2017 3:03:48 GMT 1, I like the scale of the Niemann piece, but I prefer the motion shown in the Banksy piece. Granted I'm a big Banksy fan and and not as familiar with Niemann.

Who Did it Better?, by avec art on Sept 13, 2017 11:04:26 GMT 1, Banksys WSM depicts a new generation and the modern world approaching as vicious as a circular saw to tear up an outdated and suburban vision. The intention of what it is saying is non prescriptive and is typically ambiguous in its perspective, but so loaded with pathos. Difficult to articulate in words, yet effortlessly expressed through the artwork. This on the other hand, seems to borrow from the imagery but I struggle to really see what it's about.

Who Did it Better?, by Deleted on Sept 13, 2017 11:30:34 GMT 1, See of to what you will. Looking at a dangerous out of control world maybe? or perhaps they are borrowers living near a saw mill and just avoided a major accident by luckily being on lunch break. Or Buy art why I do. I like the image and the colours and it will go with my wallpaper. I don't care about meaning.
Quoting from Lion King 3. Look beyond what you see.
