Invader Prisoners Print, by 11 on Feb 21, 2018 11:31:20 GMT 1, Invader did a signed edition
The printer has since run off another 250 so these come with a printers chop mark but have no link to Invader and are not endorsed by him
Theses are back-door prints at best and no different to a wcp

Invader Prisoners Print, by pascal1 on Feb 21, 2018 11:54:50 GMT 1, Let me just explain here...for one, what are you talking about with regards to taxes?? All sales are carried out via a business invoice through my company..and as suc=h all sales are both taxable and VAT applicable... I do not accept Paypal as i have been stung in the past with prints disappearing and i certainly do not take credit cards over the phone etc ...does anyone remember the scam a few years back when a few boys purchased loads and loads of ~Banksy prints using stolen credit cards? nearly every gallery in the UK and abroad was hit..lesson learnt. If you are in anyway unhappy then please feel free to walk away...i am not holding a gun to anyones head to buy these.. thanks for all the positive comments guys..you know who you are Looking back i expect the reason you didn't want paypal is because you knew this day was coming.

Invader Prisoners Print, by whob1 on Feb 21, 2018 12:12:24 GMT 1, CAT needs to take this with Orbi, and come with a conclusion here as they have written a COA in their name. If it is illegal, CAT are responsible and must pay everyone back, or they should be charged.
CAT may or may not knew if it is illegal or not, but its their responsibility to know what they are selling.

Invader Prisoners Print, by Happy Shopper on Feb 21, 2018 12:21:03 GMT 1, This whole thread seems as dodgy as fuck!
Galleries can't sell here, so the sales thread is started was by someone else, but turns out to be CAT !! Selling multiple copies of a print that is no more than a back door print in disguise as a full edition!
Does that sum it up?
Not the first time Einstein/Dr Jimmy/CAT has treated this forum like a bunch of mugs.

Invader Prisoners Print, by Deleted on Feb 21, 2018 12:33:04 GMT 1, let me make this very clear....these works were provided to me direct from the Publisher State of Play...who released the signed version in 2005 i believe? They came with their stamp and their COA and also the emails come directly from State of Plays original Director..I in no way would ever sell fakes and i believed and still believe these prints are genuine...if Invader did not endorse the release of the unsigned version then how come they were given away free with the magazine back then? Also this is an issue between Invader and State of Play...not with me...i shall not get involved with the legalities of who has or was legally allowed to produce and sell these works. My due diligence was carried out in great depth on this issue and i assure you all stacked up. I state again These prints were produced and printed by the original publisher ...if this was indeed against the Artists wishes then this is a legal matter between the Artist and his Representatives and the Publisher..i shall look into this further, however members should be aware of false accusations against me or CAT ...

Invader Prisoners Print, by Deleted on Feb 21, 2018 12:40:14 GMT 1, Hi - putting a number of these up for a quick sale - they are from an unsigned edition of the classic invaders Prisoner print released by State of Play in 2007. It was an edition of 250 outside the original signed run (100) - these come stamped and numbered. Size 63 by 43cm. These will come with a covering letter from the publisher to act as a COA. Asking ยฃ1250 plus postage for a quick sale - pm if interested. Image to follow...... Please see the original thread above...'Official Invader release' or 'Endorsed by Invader' has never been mentioned..it clearly states that these were released and produced by state of Play...

Invader Prisoners Print, by Matt on Feb 21, 2018 12:56:51 GMT 1, Also this is an issue between Invader and State of Play...not with me...i shall not get involved with the legalities of who has or was legally allowed to produce and sell these works. My due diligence was carried out in great depth on this issue and i assure you all stacked up. Not that simple I think.
1 - As the professional seller of these prints you are de facto "involved the legalities" for every single print you sold. Whether State of Play duped you is a complete separate matter, that you can take up with them.
2- Your due diligence surprisingly did not include the Artist himself. Whether it is by intent or simple oversight is also on you, not buyer who trust you as a professional seller of art.
3- The Invoice and email for this print clearly indicate it is by Invader, so if that turns out not to legally be the case, buyers (including myself) have unknowingly bought fakes.
I am not specialised in commercial law, but I would say that odds are not in favour of you "not being involved in the legalities)

Invader Prisoners Print, by Deleted on Feb 21, 2018 13:05:10 GMT 1, I would challenge your definition of 'Fake' in this instance? these are not FAKE prints just to be clear....the issue here is whether the Artist endorsed the release of this print...that is the matter that is of concern to purchasers, i have never claimed that Invader ever did endorse this release and i have clearly stated that this release was outside the original signed edition..
Please lets not speculate on the legalities here nor throw false accusations as to the authenticity of these prints...Lets be clear, These prints were produced by the publisher with Their COA, stamped and signed by them...this does not qualify them to be declared as fake under any definition. They were sold as described..this is the fact...

Invader Prisoners Print, by Matt on Feb 21, 2018 13:21:45 GMT 1, These were sold and described as "Invader Prisoner Print" as stated both in your e-mail and Invoice.
If it turns out that State of Play was not authorised by Invader to print these "Invader Prisoner Prints", they are not "Invader Prisoner Prints", they are unauthorised reproductions of Art, a.k.a. counterfeit.
So if that was the case, buyers would have every right to take legal action
Will leave it at that for now, as this forum is not the appropriate place to take action if it turns out to be warranted.

Invader Prisoners Print, by haring85 on Feb 21, 2018 13:24:09 GMT 1, Isn't there a legal system in the UK to get your money back from the bank if a product is a fake? I believe there was something related to the fact that the credit card company is co-liable.

Invader Prisoners Print, by Deleted on Feb 21, 2018 13:24:47 GMT 1, I would like to state that CAT in no way tried to deceive nor fraud any members or clients out of money on this release...i would further like to make this offer to all that purchased this print...if someone can provide me with conclusive proof that this print is indeed fake i am willing to refund everyone that purchased one to the full amount of the print at ยฃ1250...upon receipt of said print to my office...
In summary i apologise whole heartedly for this mishap but i am still seeking clear evidence that these prints are indeed fake, i cannot expect to refund on the production of screenshot of someones supposed discussion with ORBI...this is not proof to me nor anyone else...on receipt of this anyone that purchased can apply for a full refund on the cost of the print....i hope this goes some way to relieve all purchasers..

I think thatโs the case. I expect that if they were sold on that basis, maybe a little cheaper then no one would have an issue, I personally would buy one in the same way a Banksy back door print from trusted source constitutes good value.
I think the issues arrive as the thread states or at least implies they are editions released with Invaderโs tacit approval.
I didnโt buy one but I think to unravel this and make his offer of refund more substantial and better received, CAT clarifying what evidence he would accept this is a fake would be helpful to the buyers.

Invader Prisoners Print, by Art Fan 2011 on Feb 21, 2018 13:56:37 GMT 1, IF Invader knew nothing about the prints and had not authorised them, then they can indeed be called "copies" or even "fakes" - if they have nothing to do with Invader then they are not "Invader" prints, but just in the style of! Anyone buying these was in no doubt that they WERE buying an "Invader" albeit an unsigned one.
Clarification needs to be sought direct from the artist in order to establish IF anything underhand has occurred.

Invader Prisoners Print, by whob1 on Feb 21, 2018 14:02:27 GMT 1, First of all thanks to CAT who takes this seriously. Guess State of Play needs to show documentation that Invader accepted this unsigned version to be printed and published, otherwise they have done something illegal, and they are regarded as fake.
