Who would sell at half of the market value especially when the prices at the time were at an all time high? The seller noted outside of the edition , they have not technically sold implying from invader . Nice profits for the sellers , edition of 250 at £1200 Just a backdoor print that is 3-4 times more than a banksy backdoor print, What would be the true value be ? Shame cats reputation will be tied up in this I'm pretty sure the invoices stated - Invader - Prisoners Print. I'm not a lawyer but that's enough of an implication for me!
I actually have an invoice from CaT I never paid because state of play wouldn’t get back to be about whether they were official or not and the COA wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on imo so I passed. And it does in fact state it is an invader Print.

I know it’s a forum member here trying to sell it there I hope they do the right thing and remove it. Sucks that people do crap like this. Good thing it was Done here and the seller will refund the payments I know any other way of sales on this would not end well for the people buying them. Sucks too because it picks On a lot of people who would love to have an invader but just can’t afford the 4K+ price tag. Just my 2cents.

I never miss anything. I was jus happier reading the banter until I saw you chime in and give your “two cents” regarding the issue. Plus your thread gave off the scammer vibe from the get go.. especially the way you dodged the questions regarding the COA not worth the paper it was printed on lol

Sorry we have not been able to respond but we don't have an account on the forum.
We are truly saddened to see all of these responses on here especially as we had a really good relationship with everyone when we made State of Play and decided at the time to sell these leftover prints to raise money for our Eco awareness projects and initiative.
Just to clarify. The unsigned edition from Space Invader was released at the same time as the signed edition but only available at our very first launch party which wasn't advertised on the forum back then - as they were unsigned Giclee prints and not worth that much back then.
After doing State of Play magazine for a few years, which so many people loved & supported. We stopped doing it as it was so much hard work (while working full time) and for very little money. Luckily enough I moved into working on creating awareness of environment issues, which I loved and feel is really important in this day and age.
When I moved into a new place in late 2016 - I finally got all my belongings out of storage which had been in there since 2009, which was a really nice feeling. So discovered & remembered I had all these prints left over from their editions, not just Invader, but also Gee Vaucher, Lora Zombie, Cartrain, Aiko and many others - lots of people who have now grown in popularity 10 years later.
So I spoke to the Invader team in 2016 and mentioned that I would be selling some of my remaining signed & unsigned prints at some point - which they were fine with. So I sold some of the signed ones first & a couple of the APs and then thought it would be really nice to sell some of the remaining unsigned prints from the party - seeing as Space Invaders prints increased so much in 2016. I thought this would be a really nice opportunity for someone to own an affordable invader as it were and to raise some money for the new Eco initiative - which all the Space Invader team support.
After speaking to lots of people and quite a few established galleries they thought the unsigned ones were at least worth £1500-2k back then - so when we sold them through CAT at that time they agreed to see what everyone was willing to pay as no one wanted to charge too much for them. So CAT sold those 20 unsigned prints for £1250 each. Which ofcourse is not exactly affordable but way more affordable then all the other Space Invader prints out there from 10 years ago.
It is funny how back in September when these were sold everyone was happy with them and happy to buy them and now after receiving a few messages over Instagram myself from someone complaining that they are fake but still wanted to buy one but only for a couple of hundred pounds. When I didn't agree, it seems that he took out his frustration & anger on the forum the next day and started a massive rumour which has now turned into all this talk and people wanting to get refunds. It is funny how everyone is believing some guy who has only been a member since Feb 2018 and obviously is just on the forum to cause trouble.
Anyway, if anyone bought one from CAT and would like any clarification of the authenticity they can DM me Tia on Instagram @legoodsociety with their details & number and I will call them back and talk to them about this situation. And if they still wish to have a refund, everyone involved will happily refund anyone.
Also if anyone is worried that they may have actually bought a fake one - I can also check the authenticity of the print. Seeing as how I have seen actual fake versions of the signed edition online and even someone selling an edition of 50 of the signed ones we originally did. It is funny how no one has questioned the authenticity of the signed ones that have been sold for years but now wants to question the authenticity of prints that were actually made with Space Invader and State of Play and are were being sold on by the people behind State of Play and not some random people who no one knows who they are and have only just joined the forum etc etc
I hope this helps to clarify this issue for now.

We are truly saddened to see all of these responses on here especially as we had a really good relationship with everyone when we made State of Play and decided at the time to sell these leftover prints to raise money for our Eco awareness projects and initiative. Just to clarify. The unsigned edition from Space Invader was released at the same time as the signed edition but only available at our very first launch party which wasn't advertised on the forum back then - as they were unsigned Giclee prints and not worth that much back then. After doing State of Play magazine for a few years, which so many people loved & supported. We stopped doing it as it was so much hard work (while working full time) and for very little money. Luckily enough I moved into working on creating awareness of environment issues, which I loved and feel is really important in this day and age. When I moved into a new place in late 2016 - I finally got all my belongings out of storage which had been in there since 2009, which was a really nice feeling. So discovered & remembered I had all these prints left over from their editions, not just Invader, but also Gee Vaucher, Lora Zombie, Cartrain, Aiko and many others - lots of people who have now grown in popularity 10 years later. So I spoke to the Invader team in 2016 and mentioned that I would be selling some of my remaining signed & unsigned prints at some point - which they were fine with. So I sold some of the signed ones first & a couple of the APs and then thought it would be really nice to sell some of the remaining unsigned prints from the party - seeing as Space Invaders prints increased so much in 2016. I thought this would be a really nice opportunity for someone to own an affordable invader as it were and to raise some money for the new Eco initiative - which all the Space Invader team support. After speaking to lots of people and quite a few established galleries they thought the unsigned ones were at least worth £1500-2k back then - so when we sold them through CAT at that time they agreed to see what everyone was willing to pay as no one wanted to charge too much for them. So CAT sold those 20 unsigned prints for £1250 each. Which ofcourse is not exactly affordable but way more affordable then all the other Space Invader prints out there from 10 years ago. It is funny how back in September when these were sold everyone was happy with them and happy to buy them and now after receiving a few messages over Instagram myself from someone complaining that they are fake but still wanted to buy one but only for a couple of hundred pounds. When I didn't agree, it seems that he took out his frustration & anger on the forum the next day and started a massive rumour which has now turned into all this talk and people wanting to get refunds. It is funny how everyone is believing some guy who has only been a member since Feb 2018 and obviously is just on the forum to cause trouble. Anyway, if anyone bought one from CAT and would like any clarification of the authenticity they can DM me Tia on Instagram @legoodsociety with their details & number and I will call them back and talk to them about this situation. And if they still wish to have a refund, everyone involved will happily refund anyone. Also if anyone is worried that they may have actually bought a fake one - I can also check the authenticity of the print. Seeing as how I have seen actual fake versions of the signed edition online and even someone selling an edition of 50 of the signed ones we originally did. It is funny how no one has questioned the authenticity of the signed ones that have been sold for years but now wants to question the authenticity of prints that were actually made with Space Invader and State of Play and are were being sold on by the people behind State of Play and not some random people who no one knows who they are and have only just joined the forum etc etc I hope this helps to clarify this issue for now. They surely overpaid, now it is clear. Back those days???
It really looked as the print was released in 100 copies signed and 250 not signed. All of them with printer stamp and numbered.
They remind me the Banksy "style" X signed Y not signed, POW stamped and numbered.
The huge difference is that the latter is receiving official COA while the former are not recognised by the artist.
In my opinion, once you start "playing" with the words to defend a position, something borderline happened. At least.
