They jumped on the greed bandwagon and believed the lies by the likes of Mcafee who just happens to be a bitcoin seller.
If stockbrokers used the same tactics they would be jailed.

Wash trading doesn't impact price. A wash trade is an offsetting buy and sell. Therefore it can't actually impact the price. Who cares if some smaller exchanges want to fake voulme? Most voulme goes through the top 10 venues, which are regulated.
And price has more than doubled since this article... which is nice.

Bitcoin, by Deleted on Jun 23, 2019 23:46:22 GMT 1, Most important thing about this current run is that there hasn't been a surge in retail interest. Instituions are buying in now. I fully expect us to reach a new ATH this year.
But I'm sure the nocoiners will continue to try to find any reason to talk it down still rather than getting on board

The hope for many crypto investors is that each time bitcoin tanked it rose to a new high. Let's see if it will do it again.

Bitcoin, by Express Post on Jul 28, 2019 14:35:04 GMT 1, They can't stop BTC but they can certainly pressure the exchanges. BTC will succeed if people stop converting back to their native currency and to use in their daily lives. Even including big ticket items such as houses and cars. Then the seller will have to retain the btc to keep the whole thing going. Just imagine paying the hmrc or irs tax bills with btc.

But who would want to use BTC for a purchase when it’s valuation is fluctuating so wildly, in both directions?

No one. Not yet. Once it tanks and then rebounds, skyrocketing to 20 billion each btc, it will stabilize.

If a government can stop one type of traffic (see China), it can stop bitcoin traffic. I was reading an article about China potentially starting to back Bitcoin. If there's any truth to that, it could be huge
