Sandra Chevrier "New Release" Selling two out of the two, by Viking Surfer on Oct 4, 2017 3:06:38 GMT 1, Hi art friends Before you all give me a good flogging, let me get this out - I really love this art but am not planning to keep either. As my job doesnt allow me to have unlimited funds I don't shy back of an opportunity to get a little bit out of my hobby so when I had the opportunity to, I bought both prints with the intention of keeping none and using them to fund my child's college education. No one is against educating a child, correct? Given both prints rather look the same to me, Im happy to keep neither, because let's face it, come on..... so just send me a PM with offers / your preference which print you would like. Cheers how do you upload a picture Lol.

Sandra Chevrier "New Release" Selling two out of the two, by pking1601 on Oct 4, 2017 12:43:34 GMT 1, I like all the different stories in each of the sales threads, particularly the Faireys they are selling for a friend. Problem is, and it doesn't make any of these sales threads right, someone who missed out on any of these prints, will buy them if they want them that badly.

Id like one but I also won't pay much over cost when the thing was on sale just a few days ago. I have no issue with flipping but why not do it on eBay and pay the fees instead of coming here and selling water to the thirsty? And the elaborate stories are annoying. If there was a mistake or issue you'd be selling at your cost, not trying to sell for double or triple.
Go try your flipping luck on eBay.

Sandra Chevrier "New Release" Selling two out of the two, by nex on Oct 20, 2017 0:42:01 GMT 1, A lot of people care. And you're either part of the solution, or part of the problem. So what's the problem and what's the solution? Originally, I created this account to parody the flippers and their excuses. Even as ridiculous as my created excuses were, most of you still took them as a real sale post. I think that really tells you how idiotic these for sale postings are normally. I then got to feel what it's like to be on the brunt of an anti-flipper rant, as many on UAA like to do. I got to see the hypocrisy and really I'm starting to think that the problem might really be the ones who like to attack flippers rather than the flippers themselves. If you put something up for sale within a few weeks, you'll be lynched, if you wait a month or two, people will actually wish you good luck. If you advertise an artist people hate, you'll receive hate, but if it's a Banksy at an affordable price, you'll be touted for your generosity and people will send you PMs begging to be chosen. PLEASE flip it to ME! Maybe, it's none of anyones business what another person does with the art they purchase. Some see art as something to beholden, others see it as a commodity to trade and profit from. Some see benefits from both POVs. If you're tired of flippers, flipping, maybe you need to work on your ordering process and buy that art before they do. It's not that hard to buy prints, even without a 'bot.' If you see someone selling something you wanted, just ignore it and move on with your life. Someone richer and who maybe loves the art more than you do will come along and scoop it up. It's not a big deal. You really don't need to berate others and constantly spread negativity throughout the forums simply because your philosophy differs. Let's admit, we're all selfish. We all have an addiction. We can change. Right? A wonderful amount of sense in this post, that the majority of members here (both old and new) should take on board. Personally I'm appalled at the behaviour in this place when it comes to others selling, the moral constucts people create to make their behaviour acceptable is laughable.

If you want to post something for sale, it becomes the business of everyone on the forum. This isn't your blog where you can turn off comments and ignore people who don't agree with you, or what you're doing.

No worries. Yeah that's probably mostly true. I wanted to see the reactions, and I thought it was interesting. And the experiment has started a partial discussion, though I think that many still don't understand that nothing was ever for sale nor did I purchase most of those prints
Fairplay. The audience needs to have some degree of judgment and resilience. It's a jungle out there!

No worries. Yeah that's probably mostly true. I wanted to see the reactions, and I thought it was interesting. And the experiment has started a partial discussion, though I think that many still don't understand that nothing was ever for sale nor did I purchase most of those prints Fairplay. The audience needs to have some degree of judgment and resilience. It's a jungle out there!

Sandra Chevrier "New Release" Selling two out of the two, by natstan on Oct 20, 2017 3:46:31 GMT 1, A lot of people care. You really don't need to berate others and constantly spread negativity throughout the forums simply because your philosophy differs. sugar72 dreadnatty oxfordwelshchap Buff Monster Fan Art Fan 2011 ecomwizard caruso jbelleit soupy morleys Chris JL snipt natstan lollo88 Let's admit, we're all selfish. We all have an addiction. We can change. Right?
I don’t know when you are joking and when you are not. The difference, if you are realy selling this print, is I have never bought a print and tried selling it here almost immediately for much much more than retail. For god’s sake, I seldom even sell here. I buy prints because I like them and wanted to keep them, until I get bored with it. Which would most usually be years later. Yes, we are all selfish and self-righteous to a degree, but at least don’t benefit oneself at the expense of other people.
Edit: I don’t necessarily target this post at you, but it’s a general statement at large.

Sandra Chevrier "New Release" Selling two out of the two, by docean on Oct 20, 2017 5:38:52 GMT 1, Here’s a cool thing you can try, it’s really easy: Don’t look at them. Problem solved. Now quit your bitching. Yet you felt the need to respond to a post I made 16 days ago. Ill 'bitch' anytime I please. Feel free to block me.
Sorry I don’t troll here every day...
If I knew how to I would but until today I hadn’t found anyone ridiculous enough to block. Worth looking into I suppose

Sandra Chevrier "New Release" Selling two out of the two, by sugar72 on Oct 20, 2017 6:53:46 GMT 1, Sorry, but I'm not buying what you're selling, literally or figuratively. WOOF:> The solution is to ban people who only contribute sales threads to the forum. It's not a solution that management would ever implement, but it is the solution. TPF: Does that solution imply that all flippers do not contribute to threads beyond the sales threads? WOOF:> If you don't want to deal with the brunt of an anti-flipper rant, maybe don't try to flip things. TPF:I don't think you quite understood my explanation. WOOF:> Now I'm wondering if you understand the concept of flipping. The amount of time waited is literally the difference. This has nothing to do with what artist people like vs. don't like, while I will agree some people will take any opportunity tos**t on a thread about retna, or whatson, or insert name here. TPF: It's apparent from your comment that people have differing views on what 'flipping' is. Those who wait a couple months are likely intentionally waiting those months to avoid the social stigma of being branded a 'flipper.' I don't believe the amount of time is the difference - but perhaps the word flip typically is connected with something that turns over quickly. If you wait 2 months to sell at a profit, that I see that is flipping. If you wait a year to sell it at 2x the price, that is also flipping to me. Reselling with the intent to profit is flipping. WOOF:> You seem to think the issue here is that people aren't good enough at bagging prints, and that's why they hate flippers. But that's like saying Colin Kaepernick is kneeling because he hates America. And by the way, let's not forget this is an open forum. If you want to post something for sale, it becomes the business of everyone on the forum. This isn't your blog where you can turn off comments and ignore people who don't agree with you, or what you're doing. TPF: You really do have the ability to overlook threads if they don't pique your interest. If I don't like Sandra Chevrier, I don't click on a link related to her. If I didn't have intentions on buying a Dface print, I'm likely not going to look at the contents of a 'Dface for Sale' post. And yes, I do think the issue has something to do with people not 'bagging prints' quickly enough. If they purchased the print, why would they care what someone else does with that same print? WOOF:> Again you try to make this about money. Again, you're missing the point. TPF: So, what really is your point? What is your philosophy regarding purchase art, owning it, and reselling? What is acceptable and what is not?
Regardless of all you protestations and intended discussion which would all have an element of validity, only for the fact that in the end you are just a troll, lying on threads, winding people up.
