Overspray Mag Card Deck (feat. forum artists!), by absyrd on Mar 2, 2007 1:22:08 GMT 1, I just got my Overspray playing card deck. It was only $13, so I'm either going to just spill beer all over them or find a clever way to display them.
Here are some pics...
The list of artists and their respective cards...
The whole deck with the handsprayed case (#'d out of 1000)...
From top left clockwise: Bast, D*Face, Nick Walker, Anthony Lister, somebody I can't remember, and Pure Evil
And finally ripper1331 (whose art you've seen in the "Share Your Artwork" section of the forum)...

I didn't know who all the other artists were until now and I'm pretty pleased with the company I'm in. The Crucipod will be an art print within the next month if anyones interested.

Good work! The Crucipod looks awesome on those playing cards. Think the background sets the image off really nicely. Stick my name down on your list when you release the prints. I'd definitely like one (depending on costs, of course).
Also, 13 bucks for the cards seems like a very good buy!

By the way, the cards are actually decent in quality. It isn't like they are flimsy, shiny paper but more like plastic. The packaging is even hand-painted with the "O" symbol.

Yeah, I agree.. maybe one set to keep and one set to frame. They are quite cheap arn't they.

Don't know if you found this, but on their website I can only put one item in my basket at one time? This means you pay full shipping for each item, which is a bit annoying. I also want to get a couple of their magazines so shipping is getting expensive. I've emailed them to find out if you can combine postage. No reply yet.

The $7 isnt only for the shipping, it's for all the work that goes into the packaging and the handling as well. Each one is hand stamped three times, then hand numbered and wrapped in the brown paper, which then also gets stamped, you guessed it, by hand. So yeah, when it comes down to it, $20 isnt that much.

I think it's going to be tricky using them as playing cards but I don't mind, I wouldn't want to mess them up any way, I'm tempted to order a second deck now, so some can be framed.
Well that didn't take long to think about, I've just ordered a second deck to have some fun with.
ยฃ12.24p for people in the UK inc delivery.
