New Faile book covers, by Greekboy on Oct 10, 2017 22:28:00 GMT 1, What were prices like for the last batch?
It seems that their aftermarket is continuing to tumble. I was outbid just a couple of weeks ago for a book cover on eBay that sold in the neighborhood of $500. I cannot wrap my head around the disinterest in their work. It definitely makes it a great time to be a buyer when older pieces come to auction.

New Faile book covers, by ca on Oct 11, 2017 0:53:28 GMT 1, i think the reality has been quite the opposite for book covers, can't seem to find any decent one on the after market, now you might not get 10x your cost either but if you do have one of the past releases and the image is not crap like the rare ones ive seen hit the bay, then I think you can for sure get what you paid for if not 30-50% more

New Faile book covers, by sugar72 on Oct 11, 2017 5:26:22 GMT 1, Indeed a strange market for Faile, but love them and sticking with them. Good time to buy though particularly when you can get your hands on some older prints. I think it's because they have such a deep and diverse portfolio, but for me that's a great thing as an artist, not everything is about the secondary market.

New Faile book covers, by nex on Oct 12, 2017 0:41:47 GMT 1, 10 years ago I was a huge fan of Faile, although if I actually think about it, it probably boils down to their hits and crashes image created in response to their cart system collapsing under the demand. The image captured their style and the meaning perfectly.
When I look at their work outside of this, I struggle to see much, I know Iโm not looking hard, but it all merges for me into one long nostalgic comic book trip with little to keep me interested. Oh well.

New Faile book covers, by Sliding on the Walls on Oct 12, 2017 11:12:10 GMT 1, Like this one .
What is this supposed to show? That Wall Street 'windfall' can go down just as fast as it goes up? So who are the characters on the rollercoaster? Are they supposed to represent bankers, or the common man (or dog)? Everybody is happy and cheering even though the 'windfall' is crashing. I see a couple of clowns, a USA showman, General Zod with a chalice, some bankers? Advertising agency Mad Men? Marilyn Monroe? Some protesters? Either way they all are very happy to be hurtling downwards.
Is that the Chrysler Building in the background? So is this 'Wallstreet Windfall' rollercoaster supposed to be representative of 40 Wall Street (AKA The Trump Building)? The building which was built in direct competition with the Chrysler Building to become the tallest building in the world (40 Wall Street was deliberately planned to be two feet taller the the Chrysler Building!)
