My Mother is retired and is now spending most of her time painting - I went to visit her recently and her apartment is absolutely overrunning with canvases, including some really nice finished pieces that are getting damaged (knocked over / dirty etc). So I want to help her pack them up and store them so that they are protected - would have no idea where to start on this however!

Could someone kindly offer me some advice?

I would assume just some kind of plastic sheeting wrapped around and then taped? But is there a risk that it might over time adhere to the paint?

Is plastic a good idea given humidity may build inside or something?

would bubble wrap around glassine paper be a bad idea? should a canvas be able to "breathe" somewhat?
