Not exactly street art..., by gm on Apr 5, 2006 12:09:25 GMT 1, ...but she does paint pictures of the Ridgeway occasionally
Please check out the work of my extremely talented friend at www.janetomlinson.com.
And if any of you should find yourselves at a loose end in Oxfordshire on 13/14 or 20/21 May you could do worse than call in and see them properly as part of the Art Weeks event (there's a button on her front page). Those little photies on the website really don't do them justice at all - they look like completely different pictures when you're stood 2 foot away from them.
And if any of you get 'Artists and Illustrators' magazine, she's featured on page 56 of the May 06 edition (in shops now )
This has been a public service announcement on behalf of Jane Tomlinson.
Thank you.

Not exactly street art..., by gm on Apr 5, 2006 22:35:23 GMT 1, Fantastic ;D What have you got? (if you don't mind me asking).
I've got a lovely birthday card that she made for my 40th, a print of Ridgeway Parade, and when I was down there in January she'd just finished making the Hanging Stones prints, which I instantly fell in love with, and I didn't leave without one
And am I perhaps familiar with you from some oTher Message boArd under another name?

I bought a small 'Avebury Night magic' original a few years ago (it was all I could afford at the time, but love it anyway). Still up in my front room, but Eine, Banksy, Insect etc are now starting to compete for space :-)
;D Very small world. Yes I did over 1,000 posts on TMA but then it all got a bit too much for me :-) I still visit ancient sites but not as much.
Is Jane ok? And judging from her website, she married Moth?

LOL - NO. orange trousers??
There was a scottish 'martin' who also did over 1,000 posts I think. That why my log-in wasn't 'martin' - he had already got it. Mine was 'Pure Joy', after the Julian / TX fanzine I ran many moons ago :-)

Not exactly street art..., by gm on Apr 7, 2006 19:22:26 GMT 1, Ah, right. It was the Scottish Martin that I met. I was starting to get a bit freaked out about the coincidence. I remember your name on TMA but don't think we ever conversed directly.
Very small world indeed
