Nice one, and i don't mean it from a resell stand point but from an artists value in the market. Meaning, allnthe work they put out later will be compared to the devaluation of works from pow.

I don't see it that way. If a store liquidates their products because they're closing down, it doesn't mean tha'ts now the standard price of that product.
Liquidation tends to mean items will be marked down. What will they do with the remaining stock? What benefit would that be to the artist?

It doesn't sound bad to me because that's typically what all stores do when they close down. Now sure they can send the items back to the artist to do whatever they want with them but it will just sit most likely. So does the artist really win here? Maybe an artist can provide their input on this.

I think the best thing POW could do is remotely start printing unlimited soup can posters until they reopen in 2019 then how would all the people paying upwards of $400 feel after that?

That's what I was getting at. If anything this sale has helped some of the lesser known artists get some exposure from people who were willing to buy just about anything just to be part of the frenzy. Now if their stuff aint selling then clearly the market is not interested at that current price. I'd tell any artist that is still remaining that they'd be silly to NOT have the price of their work reduced. Maybe not 50 pounds but definitely a discount.

At this juncture I don't think anyone is trying to flip any of the stuff remaining. As someone has said, the market has spoken, they are not interested at the current price levels. If the artist wants the remaining stock shipped back to them to sit in an attic somewhere, then fine. That's on them. But, liquidation sales do not devalue. It is understood what a liquidation sale is.
I'd take a flyer on some of the art there at a cheaper price.
