I think I probably put mine up for sale at the wrong time, before Christmas which is why it didn’t sell and I still have it. But since then there’s been one that sold at Bukowskis for £54,700 all-in, and there’s been that strong auction at Phillips last week.

There were only about 100 unsigned + a handful signed released of v1 at Barely Legal. It was never rereleased by POW until v2 and then only as signed.

I have one numbered below 100, unsigned LA Edition. Im sure this is covered in more detail a thread but its what Hnkpnk describes above. Supposedly 6 signed full sets released back then, i think marked as AP’s.

There are certainly more than 6 signed Barely Legal sets but nobody is clear how many as things were apparently quite chaotic at the time.

I do agree that the POW v2 version is a better print quality than Modern Multiples version. There are a number of modern multiple APs, I was told 14, as well as 6 P/P sets of which a couple have been broken up and sold individually

Finally there is a belief that there is less than 500 v2 as nobody claims to have seen a signed print with a number below 100.

I don't think there were a "fair few signed gifted prints".

My understanding is that Banksy signed a handful for VIPs at the LA show and that was it.

Just checked and 10 signed APs, 6 signed PP and unknown signed but thought to be teens apparently 🤷‍♂️

With previous sales. A PP Sale Ends and Festival was sold at Phillips in Jan 2020 and a number of festival APs have been sold at Tate Ward. They claim they are from a series of 33 but a friend has one that’s marked from a series of a 10. So that was my cross referencing.

I don't think that info is correct.

I've discussed the LA prints in some detail with somebody who worked for POW and was working at the LA show. There are very few (about half a dozen) signed LA prints outside of the signed sets. I believe that the number signed actually varies from print to print.

Have a look and see how many signed LA prints you can see in past sales. They don't come up often because there aren't that many out there.

The 2 unsigned sets I saw had an appalling Trollies that had missing ink because I believe the screens got contaminated and the Applause had problems too. I wanted to do a deal for one of the sets but in the end only really wanted Destroy Capitalism as the general print quality didn’t look great. I still know of this set and it’s still for sale so I will try to get a photo if I can.

45k for a strong image, signed Banksy is a great price. Sell your Aquanaut and get yourself one. They look great on the wall.

And if you're looking for it as an investment piece then even with a modest 20% rise you'd still bank 10k profit.
