Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Warm Gun on Dec 2, 2017 18:11:25 GMT 1, First one sold for £17,230 on ebay a few minutes ago. As we all know the first few usually sell for a slightly higher than normal price, I suspect that these may soon drop to around the £15k that I thought they would. It makes sense as that is the entry price for a signed Banksy atm.

Not to mention delivery issues / people prefer to collect these sorts of items.
you cannot import or export a declare things of worth now without EORI registration. better wait for eu based one and try for it.

Agreed, that's why several eu/uk based bidders had their bids on the US based Banksy cancelled and re-bid on the UK one. I wouldn't dream of re-importing a high value print, not worth the hassle.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Warm Gun on Dec 2, 2017 18:43:54 GMT 1, I'm hearing tales of high quality silkscreen fakes already on the market. Crazy to buy one of these without a Pest Control COA. West Country prince will be knocking them out soon.
As a buyer you'd probably want a print out of the POW receipt and the winners email, POW tube etc....that would be some form of provenance.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Sundowner on Dec 2, 2017 19:01:39 GMT 1, Seem to be a lot of people here claiming to be ‘in the know’ and spreading rumours and speculation around perceived pricing and alleged fakes when they know f**k all.
At the end of the day, it’s down to the seller if they want to sell and the buyer if they want to take a risk buying without a COA. No one knows for sure what will happen next year when COAs can be applied for - it could be 12 months after that before they are actually issued.
In the meantime, prints will be sold, money will change hands and profit will be made but at the end of the day it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone given this artist’s global appeal and the fact that certain other prints are changing hands at £100k+.

I don't know if any fakes of this print exist but I wouldn't be surprised if this print is faked. Not as in WCP low quality efforts. More as in as perfect a reproduction as possible (which is not hard if one gets hold of an authentic print) including embossing plus emails can be faked and so can invoices labels and mailing tubes used by POW are the same as others.
Doing the maths is not hard, putting perfect fakes out on the secondary market for 10K a time one doesn't have to sell many to make a tidy sum. Unfortunately there are quite a few dodgy people dealing in art allready and some less than honest galleries. The two years limbo waiting for a COA gives any criminals a good year at least to put a few up for sale.
