Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by clueless on Jan 25, 2018 20:21:06 GMT 1, Oh so putting it in a frame means it's not a flip. Please forgive my ignorance. So.. you are going to flip a print with no coa and then leave the country. Sounds good... Sounds like a good deal to me. Fair play to the OP. Good luck with the sale and move. If this is what it takes to help you and your family achieve a better lifestyle, pull the trigger! Art is art and will continue to be there (unless ruined, of course).
Family and happiness come first.

Oh my you really are clueless. He hasn’t even named a price. How the fuck is buying a print for a guy off internet that is moving to a far away land with no coa a good deal?

When I PM’d him he gave me a price. Just shoot him a message. Reasons on why he wants to sell it shouldn’t even matter. Let him flip it who cares.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Dice on Jan 26, 2018 0:06:53 GMT 1, The current owner in Jan 2019 will apply for the COA not the original buyer Is that confirmed by POW? Or are they treating them like gift prints, where only the original owner can apply? I'm sure this was answered before... but I don't remember!
Logically I don’t see why they would treat them as gift prints when they’re not, would be a bit harsh to refuse I think

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by tab1 on Jan 26, 2018 0:35:16 GMT 1, Pow is effectively closed for now Pest control I assume will be longer than usual to deal with coa as they are pow staff and involved with new venture or they have less staff to deal with requests at the moment Normal coa in some cases take up to 4 months . Unless it is way cheaper than market value I would wait until Coa are posted , if they are not passed on you will struggle to get back half of what you have paid potentially . Or a gamble and may pay off .
Another pr stunt to kick the market up a notch with these and poster releases , prints coming up for sale were a lot lower and fewer before now quite a lot more listings now

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Unica on Jan 26, 2018 0:42:27 GMT 1, I had the great fortune of winning opportunity to buy this print in the POW lottery, unfortunately due to personal finances and much regret I must sell it. Signed and numbered by artist & in mint condition. The print has already been framed to the highest possible archival standards. The following will also be included in the sale and provided to winning bidder: • Original lottery purchase offer email • Purchase confirmation email • Original tube packaging the print was delivered in + POW branded grease paper the print was wrapped in. • Courier invoice from POW to the original buyer. + Specialist overnight courier is included in price and will be shipped immediately once payment is received. Please PM me for more details if interested.
I’d be interested if a Coa will be guaranteed.

Easy decision in my book.

How the f**kis buying a print for a guy off internet that is moving to a far away land with no coa a good deal? I understand where you are coming from, I've been on the other side many times. but I'm also trying to be transparent as possible. The Sale ends prints don't have COA's yet, but considering all the backup and support documents I'm providing, it's pretty clear to even the dogs on the street that the print and I are legit. I've put myself in potential buyers shoes and asked myself what would reassure me.
I'm even providing the original tubing with it's lovely calligraphy handwritten address. (Anyone who has a print will know what I'm talking about)
I'm willing to provide copies of my own personal documents if it gives piece of mind. You can have my shoe size if it helps!
+ I'm willing to meet people within reason. Sure if someone is really serious about buying they're welcome to come to my home for a cup of tea and view the print. I'd even break out the custard creams. (bourbon fans are not welcome in my home)
At the end of the day. I'm a fan and collector just like everyone else. I got lucky. I got REALLY lucky. I posted it here knowing I'd eats**t from a few people because I know for the most part it's genuine collectors here. If I really wanted to flip it fast there are other easier avenues I could take. But if being branded a flipper means I can give my family a better life than fine. I'm a flipper.
As other like minded people have stated here, some things are more important than art.. not a lot of things mind you, but some things.
Peace

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by silvermyn on Jan 26, 2018 11:48:23 GMT 1, Here’s a question. COA aside. Does the market take into account that older banksy editions in reality probably have less then the edition size in existence? For example early Banksy prints /500 probably have at least a third that are damaged or missing or misplaced. Maybe? So in reality the edition size is much smaller and probably rarer. In the case of these I would say all 500 still exist and are in great condition. I don't think that the market does reflect the number of good copies in circulation as much as it could do. The average buyer either likes the print enough to shell out for it or they don't. For example, there are lots of dedcent S&S's out there (newer edition of 500) and they still go for silly money when compared to some of the older prints.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Dive Jedi on Jan 28, 2018 4:21:16 GMT 1, The current owner in Jan 2019 will apply for the COA not the original buyer Then it makes no sense. I thought the whole idea was to issue the COA to the winner of the lottery, to try and stop endless flips. If this is the case then 1) I got it wrong and 2) I am more relaxed about buying one. As far as I know the only notification POW has provided about issuing COA's is that they will be issued after JAN 2019.
There has been no information by POW a COA will only be provided to the Original buyer or also to a second owner. So anything else is pure speculation.
Surely POW is aware that some Original buyers will sell after receiving a COA, so issuing in 2019 will only delay flipping for a year. But then it's not flipping anymore, right? Then it's simply "not making the wall anytime soon" or selling "to make Sale Ends meet".

Likely 2020 mid 2019 we’ll see the fluctuations in price.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by sugar72 on Jan 28, 2018 8:20:05 GMT 1, If they supply a COA it will be only to the original owner as they will not have details of a secondary market plus they won't give a shit.
For anyone buying this now will cause a major problem as they will pay one prive now and then no doubt when the original owner gets the COA they will ask more money to hand it over to the new owner.
I realise there are people who live in a utopian world but o cannot honestly see anyone handing over a COA without a large bung of cash!

That’s a real pessimist view. You really think that the original owner will hold the COA for ransom once it arrives? That’s pretty shitty if realized.
On another note.. maybe buyers can pay half now - remainder on arrival of COA but I highly doubt sellers would allow that.

Yes sorry but I do. If a COA is worth say 10k why would I give it for free.
The easy solution here is to wait until via is in hand.

But in that case it’ll be 5-10k more once COA are in hand.

Correct. Just a lot less trouble and heartache if the via travels with the print for all concerned
