Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by bbperez1 on Jan 28, 2018 8:44:57 GMT 1, But in that case it’ll be 5-10k more once COA are in hand. Correct. Just a lot less trouble and heartache if the via travels with the print for all concerned
I’m not a buyer but I anticipate seeing where the prices fall now and once the COA come in. I had a discussion with a forum member when these were announced and I estimated they’d land in the range of $25-35k

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Unica on Jan 28, 2018 9:03:17 GMT 1, I understand where you are coming from, I've been on the other side many times. but I'm also trying to be transparent as possible. The Sale ends prints don't have COA's yet, but considering all the backup and support documents I'm providing, it's pretty clear to even the dogs on the street that the print and I are legit. I've put myself in potential buyers shoes and asked myself what would reassure me. I'm even providing the original tubing with it's lovely calligraphy handwritten address. (Anyone who has a print will know what I'm talking about) I'm willing to provide copies of my own personal documents if it gives piece of mind. You can have my shoe size if it helps! + I'm willing to meet people within reason. Sure if someone is really serious about buying they're welcome to come to my home for a cup of tea and view the print. I'd even break out the custard creams. (bourbon fans are not welcome in my home) At the end of the day. I'm a fan and collector just like everyone else. I got lucky. I got REALLY lucky. I posted it here knowing I'd eats**t from a few people because I know for the most part it's genuine collectors here. If I really wanted to flip it fast there are other easier avenues I could take. But if being branded a flipper means I can give my family a better life than fine. I'm a flipper. As other like minded people have stated here, some things are more important than art.. not a lot of things mind you, but some things. Peace You don't owe anyone an explanation. But you have articulated your position with reason and common sense. POW got lucky to choose you as a winner. Best of luck with your sale and move. Not really sure why you think POW got lucky since the print is being flipped less than two months later. But can certainly understand the desire for the winner to sell and pay for his move, I just moved countries myself and its not only expensive but stressful so I wish him luck. I wasn't so lucky but would like to buy a Sales End if a seller would guarantee my money back by a certain date if they couldn't secure one. I'd imagine its much easier for the original buyer to get the COA than a new buyer. Just so many variables at play regarding the COA, so I'll probably wait until they are issued but I expect by that point they will be priced the same as other signed prints and then I'm not sure it this would be my pick.

I am trying to imagine what would happen to the Banksy market if COAs were refused to 2nd owners
It was a lottery, widely spread, and didn't just reach collectors but friends of them, family of them, people who know fuck all about these stupid things we collect. It was on instagram, facebook etc, so the cross fertilisation was pretty good
People would have said, enter this lottery it will cost you £500 and you'll get a minimum of £10k back
Most people who know would have entered
I think they'd be fucked if they didn't issue the COAs if they are furnished with all the initial owners info
emails, receipts Pcs of print etc
I suppose it all depends on how high or low people's risk level is as to whether they buy them or not

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by tab1 on Jan 28, 2018 12:07:13 GMT 1, Maybe uk buyers put off as no Coa issued until next year and your moving abroad ? So if selling a print and new address abroad will delay the already long process of getting a coa?

If that’s the case those selling now should sell for more as hardly any listings Most will be listing when the coa comes through so the market will have many for sale Banksy is better than a.i.m shares

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by jeheh on Jan 28, 2018 16:48:56 GMT 1, Like so many others, what a disappointing thread. So many tire kickers on their soap boxes. There are so few participants in this forum that can afford 25k gbp. and far fewer that have the discretionary funds to park it on their wall. If you are crying about the COA, you just want it as insurance to have an easier time to flip the piece at some point later. Because there are so many flippers, the COA adds value in the short term. In 50 years, assuming Banksy is still as relevant (no doubt so), they’re will be ample people to authenticate it.
Making a better life for your family is about as real as it gets in terms of motivation to sell off the material things that will never bring you the same return of happiness. But for the love of god, if you are asking for that kind of money, take 5 minutes and post a picture of the piece, especially since it’s framed and some other relevant information to allay someone concerns that they aren’t going to get scammed...

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Laugh Now 10 on Jan 31, 2018 2:52:07 GMT 1, Look at your own signature from 10-15 years ago. It looks different than your your signature from 10-15 days ago. I guarantee it but yes, I’d be shocked (pleasantly surprised?) if it could be proven that one lone person signed each and every signed Banksy print...but who knows?

There’s no need for a contract , you can apply yourself for a coa.

How do you know what original paperwork is? Paper trails were false when two guys were selling banksys prints years ago? If you have nothing to compare to? Your stuck
Looking at v2 more rounded / precise and easier to copy Probably done this way so staff can sign the prints
Earlier signed prints , pointy and rushed ,

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Happy Shopper on Feb 6, 2018 12:08:32 GMT 1, I've received close to 100 private messages regarding the print and I'd say only 2 maybe 3 people were in any way serious about buying the print. Probably because you're asking for more than this print has previously sold for, and telling people you're in no hurry.
Without the COA you can't really expect people to rush to buy, especially when they could buy a different Banksy print with COA for a similar amount. People are looking to pick these up at a discount at the moment.
Just my thoughts on it.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Deleted on Feb 6, 2018 12:21:38 GMT 1, If priced right this would sell. I am interested without a COA as long as the relevant paperwork is included, emails etc, but I value this at between 15k - 18k as per the sales on eBay. Do I wanna buy to flip, no, will I sell or trade in the future, I don't know, the truth is these don't have COAs yet, Caveat emptor.

+ yes the vast majority of inquires have been time wasters and tire kickers. Offers between £5k - 8k or exchange for damaged prints is time wasting IMO.
