It's not the same as buying these prints 10-15 years ago and watching them appreciate from 1k-15k over the years making it easier to sell them and move on.

For sure, until they all find their ‘permenate’ home which will be clear who’s keeping and whose selling when COAs come out, can’t say what the supply vs demand will be. Like you mentioned with the few sitting on eBay already, even if only 10 more people decided to sell, they’d clearly have significant competition to sell. Realistically I’d be kind of surprised if more than half the winners kept them.
A big factor may be at what price galleries choose to buy up all they can? They’d have the capital to be able to do so and trickle them back out as the demand grew. Think about the diamond market for example.

People who really need the money can’t afford to not buy a £500 print worth 10k+. I agree with your frustration but being able to buy it and being able to justify keeping it given it’s value are two entirely different situations.

Yeah, 250 prints hitting the market. If you want the cash you'll take a 10x profit, 20x profit, 30x profit, whatever you can get your hands on .... if everyone decides to sell at once

This'll always be a marmite piece because there were a few winners and lots of losers. Saying that people are quite happy with massive price jumps with other prints or other artists - I guess it just depends what you have in your collection.

I'm bitter so I'll boycott this print unless the seller is a friend and even then this is last print I'd pay a premium for, it was an unpopular print on its first release. That being said the reworked version is better and I do know a few genuine collector/friends who got one and I'm happy for them.
