Supply and demand is one thing, but it also comes down to the image.
GRWB unsigned is valued much higher than a colour Trolleys for example.

I do own one of these and love it on my wall (so does the wife!) but will unsigned surpass a signed? 🤔 It's the image, the unsigned edition of Laugh Now is considered a more iconic print/image by most Banksy collectors than Sales End of which there are two versions. Unsigned LIITA and Girl With Balloon both sell for considerably more than a signed Sales End for the same reason, as another member alluded, there aren't that many of the older prints on the market to purchase and many have condition issues. |

Most of these will be put away for years.
If we all knew years ago that Banksy prints were going to be worth these crazy prices there would be thousands of them filed away in mint condition.

Part of me is playing Devil's advocate here, but with this logic this piece should remain as his least desirable signed piece. Everyone knows this edition of 500 is desirable so everyone will protect these prints. This should be the most abundant and widely available signed edition by Bansky... Not that they are "widely available"... I mean relatively to his other work. |
