Is that sort of damage repairable? absolutely. But you'll have to take it to a paper restorer. And a print of this caliber demands a very good repairer because if you cheap out on the restoration then you'll have a bigger mess on your hands. And restoration aren't cheap either. |

Anyone would think that this print is a total mess, I have tried to take close up pictures to give an accurate impression, when you look at it from a distance it is hard to see the 'damage', yes perhaps that asking price is wrong on reflection and I should have done a little more research, I haven't been keeping abreast of thing for a while, but £4K is very low ball.
At the day the demand will dictate the price, I'm happy to receive offers.

Soft creases yes but unlikely the hard creases will come out. Still OP, you will get a much higher offer after you spend a few hundred with a great restorer. Where are you located?

People at auction tend to care less or are careless (don’t check condition report). There have been Banksy prints in horrendous condition that continue to sell at amazing auction prices. I tend to think those bidding at auctions are the wealthy who just want a Banksy and will bid at whatever cost, galleries who sell to wealthy clients that really don’t care about condition, and then there’s the people on this forum who want everything in gem mint 10 condition or its only worth half its value.
With that being said 8k is pricing 6months to a year from now. So if you happen to hold it someone will bring up this post asking if it’s been sold a year from now and if you haven’t sold it by then you’ll want 10k. So it just all depends on how intent you are on selling.

Like the OP says the damage is light and sounds like it could restored fairly well. I would expect this to get a minimum of 6k. And right, auctioning may be the best way to go.
As for HAND, again I have one this is a fantastic print with a great story and actually one of my favorites, again seriously undervalued at present, I think you would be lucky to get a mint one for £7-8000. But as always it depends who your buying from. I tell my friends that Banksy has 4 prices: peer to peer, dealer, gallery and auction, the auction being the wild card.

This is from an edition of 30 in various colourways, it differs from the regular run in that the green numbers on the auctioneers plinth are missing and also there is more detail around the text on the Canvas up for auction. There is a small amount of beige inc on the print from one of the other coloured prints. This is how it was bought from source. It is an a/p. Owned by me from new. Framed by MFM using museum glass. Based in Berkshire UK. Looking for offers around £32k. Sorry but no trades.
