Cheers. I’ve adjusted my price now. Has anyone ever had to have their art unframed. If so could I check specialist framers offer this service. I’m guessing it’s not a wise decision to do it yourself?

Thanks for the advice. Really useful. I’m not sure many framers would agree unframe based on the risk of causing any damages and insurance. It’s something I need to look into more. I’m not the original owner and although I purchased off a friend who framed it many are asking for the whole print to be checked which I understand.

Sadly I wouldn't be so sure. I'd guess the tape on the back isn't such a big deal for most but the mat burn/fade to the front is harder to overlook - there's nothing much you can do to sort that. Had a similar experience with an old style Art Republic (aggghhhh!) framed Banksy Rat - was going to have to take a much bigger hit than 10% in the end so ended up keeping and reframing, matting out the fade. Still looks great on the wall but a bit gutted I didn't pick up the fade on purchase. Others may have a completely different opinion, and some banksy images may be affected more adversely value wise, so wish the OP good luck on a sale. LN is one my fav images tbh

There is no doubt that this will reduce the number of potential buyers as there are plenty on here who wouldnt buy a print if someone has farted in the vicinity of it. That said there are plenty folks like me who wouldnt hesitate to purchase, i bought a LN on ebay with tape marks on the back and im sure i got it at a good price because of the tape marks, the front is pristine and ive never seen the back since the day it went for framing 😊

I also picked up a brilliant Faile Dog after the initial buyer pulled out after he inspected it, a few marks on the rear again, quite ironic as the front is full of pencil marks and scribbles.

A buyer will appear at a fair price to both parties.

Can anyone recommend an auction house?

Yeah with a print with condition issues i'd always go with either an auction house or a gallery.

When I was new to the whole art scene and Banksy was still somewhat affordable (at least for me) I've bought an unsigned Pulp Fiction from a gallery without ever asking about condition issues or whatever. It has been up on my walls ever since, but if I ever sell it i'm gonna pray it's not glued to the backboard.

That is to say: galleries or auctions attract newbie idiots like me

This print has been going up so much y/y the best thing to do if you can is wait another 2 years and you ll sell it at mint price value of today

Somewhere between 10/20% is fair I sold a grin reaper last year with similar damage worth about £19k at the time but sold it for £16k.

If the seller is here it will be now $19,203.30 😀

Providing its in good condition $17.5k is a fair price? You may pick up one cheaper privately if your lucky but then you have the risk of is it real, what's it's history eyc

Hi all,

I have previously had this piece for sale on the forum and removed it to sell at Truman auctions. Unfortunately it didn’t sell so I’m offering it back up for sale. It has a burn mark around the edge of about 5mm’s where it has had a border over it previously. I was unaware of this when I advertised it back in December. I’m fully aware this affect a) the number of potential interested peeps and b) The price peeps are willing to pay.  i’m  looking for offers around the 11k mark. I’m happy to answer any questions and send more pics. It comes with Pest Control COA and the rest of the print is in top notch condition. I’m located in Bristol but could travel within a 100 mile radius.
