Framing advice JR x Oliver Jeffers, by jeenyus74 on Nov 21, 2017 21:37:23 GMT 1, Hi all,
I would like some advice and ideas to frame my JR x Oliver Jeffers' print. The size is 51.5 x 73.5 cm.
I am hesitate between floating or with a mount bord (in order to reduce a little bit the white space in the top of the print). Also, in a black, white or wood frame?
How would you frame it?
Thanks for your advice !

I went for all glass. Above a pic when I slipped it in a quick Habitat frame to see what it might look like. Actual frame is thicker and dark navy.

Framing advice JR x Oliver Jeffers, by Matt on Nov 24, 2017 19:59:39 GMT 1, Was not implying you couldn’t, just that my opinion was that it wouldn’t work well
I have several white on white floated prints
But the amount of white space in this particular print does not, in my own personal and very subjective opinion, go very well with additional white space surrounding it.
Your example WOOF, has a much much thinner border, and seems to be quite dark, so to be honest I am not sure it is comparable in composition to the print we are talking about (I could be wrong, you only showed a corner...)
I think having it floating in the glass frame also goes particularly well with the image of the sky / constellation and man reaching for it.
On the contrary using a window mount to perhaps reduce some of the white border would, « imprison » him so to say, which is why I also believe that this is not the best option
