I can't think of a Micallef that you would get at an equivelant value to an unsigned Morons.

I am Willing to add cash to make a swap even if needed... figured someone would have something worth a little more and suggest that anyhow!

Banksy Applause Print, by rabbitlegs on Mar 17, 2007 0:43:43 GMT 1, See what you think..halogen days...Ebay No. 290094996764 It will probably go any time soon at this attractive price, but beware..The POW stamp picture is from a signed Napalm the other week (buy it now 5.5k) The signature appeares on a couple of previous listings (note low position + 2006 not 06) Also the seller has never sold anything before! Oh and No paypal on this one.....mmm A few questions in order perhaps!

Banksy Applause Print, by tomhills1 on Mar 18, 2007 11:18:33 GMT 1, i've emailed the buyer, who hasn't payed yet, and he is going to ask a few questions before he pays. hopefully it is genuine and the seller is just a bit naive in their listing. referred the buyer to this forum too, hopefully a quick read through here will enlighten him and stop any possible rip-offs in the future.

What do people think of this.
Says that print was sold out from POW but if it was the LA print weren't these just sold at Barely legal?
Also no stamp - is this usual for LA Prints
Finally one of the pictures is of a POW postal tube???
This forum referred to in the item description so is the vendor a member of this?

Banksy Applause Print, by policeaware on Feb 18, 2007 10:03:39 GMT 1, This print has passed through a few hands.
It sold on ebay on
2 December item number 110037987061
9 December item number 200053143091
& now.
LA prints had no POW stamp since they were produced in the US.
The remainder of the run did sell out in record time on the POW site when they were made available in the UK.
As its been through so many hands & kept flat its likely the tubes have been mixed up hence the irrelevant POW tube.

Banksy Applause Print, by lesroy on Feb 18, 2007 11:03:26 GMT 1, Just to make this a little easier... I am the seller for this print.
It's the LA version hence no stamp. It is in perfect condition and yes I did only buy it in December. However, as you are all aware I am having a little clear out and this is on on the short list to go I am afraid.
Feel free to PM me any questions, or indeed post them here.
Policeaware: you're bang on mate, I simply posted the picture of the tube to show that the print would be sent in a known, safe & secure way.
Thanx a million for all the help.

What number would you put on it, it was a gift and outwith the numbered run. If, as they say, they were given a signed unnumbered gift it would have been from Banksy / banksy's team and not POW. They do pop up every now and again, but nothing to do with POW and not POWs place to start numbering things left right and center. Just a tad ungreatful to be selling such a nice prezzie, wish I got prezzies like that....

Banksy Applause Print, by mwjm0 on Apr 5, 2007 14:33:38 GMT 1, why is it POW stamped if it has nothing to do with POW, presumably this must have been printed at the same time as the rest. An AP i can understand but not unumbered!

Usually after a bunfight they send them straight out. Have had mine within 48 hours before
I have a feeling they a delaying so they can double check on double ordering which seems to be true as certain people have found to their cost on this forum and it also means that those that are on E bay now can still be wheedled out.
If they post them next week after the holidays most of the current e bay listings will have finished.
Its hard to sell a print you dont actually have :-)

Banksy Applause Print, by policeaware on Apr 6, 2007 9:24:14 GMT 1, Absolutely no chance of POW numbering a print later unless they have the paper trail and the number was simply missed off.
Even if the print was gifted POW will not give it provenance for the very reason it was a gift. There was a situation last year where someone tried to get a gifted print approved & numbered by POW and they, quite rightly, refused.

Banksy Applause Print, by policeaware on Apr 8, 2007 10:07:29 GMT 1, The signed, un-numbered applause has now been listed for the third time.
Not a good sign at all for a print that has a buy it now of ยฃ2600 compared to another currently at ยฃ4000.
There is something seriously amiss with this listing especially if 3 people have now passed up on the opportunity of what first appears to be a bargain.
If you've got ยฃ2600 to spend on a poster go for it but otherwise steer well clear.

Banksy Applause Print, by neutral on Apr 8, 2007 18:49:08 GMT 1, Emailed the seller too. She has received it by a friend of her and she does not want to say much more about from where exactly it does come from, even tho the image is pretty clear... Seems genuine but yet without paper work. @ 2.6K it is a bit of a shame to do not have any physical history.

that was a gift to charity if memory serves me right. this is akin to a gift between friends. if you have money to burn it might be worth a punt? never gonna hold the same value as a regular signed applause, but the fact it's genuine can surely not be disputed. in the future, as a purely financial standpoint, it may well stand up better as it has a signature and is stamped, yet no number.
not for me, at any price - would rather an un-signed numbered print. doesn't mean to say someone couldn't make a healthy profit from an educated gamble.
looks like i'm not the only one who would think twice though
it begs the question though: in the current climate surrounding signed banksy prints, does that logic still stand up when outside of the main (only) edition? how much more than an unsigned numbered print would you pay for a signed un-numbered print?
