The signature appeares on a couple of previous listings (note low position + 2006 not 06)
Also the seller has never sold anything before! Oh and No paypal on this one.....mmm

i've emailed the buyer, who hasn't payed yet, and he is going to ask a few questions before he pays. hopefully it is genuine and the seller is just a bit naive in their listing. referred the buyer to this forum too, hopefully a quick read through here will enlighten him and stop any possible rip-offs in the future.

LA prints had no POW stamp since they were produced in the US.

The remainder of the run did sell out in record time on the POW site when they were made available in the UK.

As its been through so many hands & kept flat its likely the tubes have been mixed up hence the irrelevant POW tube.

There's an Applause going on Ebay from the States, but it's not numbered is this right.

If it's legit I'd feel sorry for the bloke, but I suppose he got as a gift.

Just what I was thinking. It can't do any harm giving POW a ring.

What number would you put on it, it was a gift and outwith the numbered run. If, as they say, they were given a signed unnumbered gift it would have been from Banksy / banksy's team and not POW. They do pop up every now and again, but nothing to do with POW and not POWs place to start numbering things left right and center. Just a tad ungreatful to be selling such a nice prezzie, wish I got prezzies like that....

why is it POW stamped if it has nothing to do with POW, presumably this must have been printed at the same time as the rest. An AP i can understand but not unumbered!

pow would not number a print that was taken back to them without any provenance.

The signed, un-numbered applause has now been listed for the third time.

Not a good sign at all for a print that has a buy it now of £2600 compared to another currently at £4000.

There is something seriously amiss with this listing especially if 3 people have now passed up on the opportunity of what first appears to be a bargain.

If you've got £2600 to spend on a poster go for it but otherwise steer well clear.

I remember once Artificial had a signed soup can with a heart instead of a number inside the pow stamp.
Could it be the same case here, no numbering yet genuine ?

that was a gift to charity if memory serves me right. this is akin to a gift between friends. if you have money to burn it might be worth a punt? never gonna hold the same value as a regular signed applause, but the fact it's genuine can surely not be disputed.
in the future, as a purely financial standpoint, it may well stand up better as it has a signature and is stamped, yet no number.

not for me, at any price - would rather an un-signed numbered print. doesn't mean to say someone couldn't make a healthy profit from an educated gamble.

looks like i'm not the only one who would think twice though

it begs the question though: in the current climate surrounding signed banksy prints, does that logic still stand up when outside of the main (only) edition? how much more than an unsigned numbered print would you pay for a signed un-numbered print?

The last three unsigned Applause prints went for £589, £600, & £605, so £618 would be fair but not a bargain.
