Seemed to have happened to 4/5 members on there all with the same experience. Clearly heโs allowed to, but sounds a bit of a douche.

I tried to buy it on ebay 3 years ago. Seller cancelled the transaction, saying he had some extra cost because the statue was broken and he had extra cost to fix it (for a bit of glu, he was asking $600).
So of course a broken and fixed art should be sold for more than the agreed price, we all know that...
Anyways not sure it's the same guy here but I wouldn't be surprised considering how few of these were made.
