Being Sued for flipping, by stelio on Dec 5, 2017 14:53:12 GMT 1, โNow, Ford does not mention in the pleadings if they know what he sold it for but they presume he did it for profit.โ
Gonna laugh if Cena proves he sold it for less.

Being Sued for flipping, by hui on Dec 5, 2017 19:55:25 GMT 1, Yeah, a lot of flippers make an easy $20,000-$50,000 for some of these car releases. I know Porsche VIPs have access to some of these lists, but they can't flip the car for at least 6 months. Seems to be Ford should've leased these cars for two years and then "sell" at the conclusion of the lease.
All that said, I find it interesting that the manufacturer's solution to stop flipping is forcing purchasers to wait - they're the ones creating the market and allocating the cars.

Being Sued for flipping, by hui on Dec 5, 2017 21:18:05 GMT 1, I can see that for certain colors. I think the color matters too, which is absurd, especially in the instances where it's far cheaper to just paint the car yourself, but whatever - I guess that perhaps be viewed as fraudulently in the car community.
I'm not too familiar with this market. I have a dealership salesperson friend in the midwest US who spoke about guys buying some of these limited 911s and reselling them for a $35,000 profit to buyers in the major markets. But the retail on some of those are like a third of this GT retail.
