The Melody and Shipboard girl Lichtensteins are fake. Why do you think that? I've seen enough of them to know when I see a wrongun. The Shipboard is 100% wrong, the Melody almost certain but I'd need to see it in person to be 100%. Sadly there are more and more very convincing fakes out there these days. I am not sure if this is a selling exhibition or not but if it is a selling one I'd urge caution. |

The Minerva would set you back about 30/50k the reflections on blond about £80/90ish that said they've made upwards of 120k on occasion, Red lamps would be circa £30/40k - these three are also huge about 2meters x 1m each, I would steer well clear of Shipboard girl, there are far too many fakes on the market. That said you can buy a fantastic Lichtenstein for as little as £3k, he is ludicrously affordable still.

I will say that for a signed Lichtenstein 3k is the starting point, but there are a few pieces from the 60's that you can if you're lucky buy for that amount, for 5K you'd have a great deal more choice. And yes I am talking about signed, editioned works.

I was once shown a pic by the FBI investigating a fraud case for me ..and in his office were at least 50 Lichtenstein prints
All fake .. mostly shipboard girl , crying girl .. he said Lichtenstein was by far the most faked Artist , for prints .

they look like - it’s not a critic - my Ssosva friend Robin Coleman with his first earlier artworks that seem realky better than the Melody artwork ...
Lichtenstein ( I saw a great exhibition 25 years ago ) is more elaborate and the lines of the face are perfect )...
