Amp, by rolyateel on Apr 11, 2007 21:47:12 GMT 1, That's looking good framed up, I've got a frame just like that from habitat for another project, is yours a habitat frame? if so how do you stop the print touching the glass?
don't know if this helps
a thin plastic strip adhered to the glass all round which holds the print away from the glass
so £22 for the frame, about £4 for the spacer...another expensive frame job
i know a lot is talked on these boards about framing...and i agree that a certain level must be obtained to look after the print...but I also like my frames to be as small as possible (so I can fit more on the wall) & not to add or take anything away from the image...which to me is what I am wanting to look at
none of my prints are in direct sunlight, and my house isn't damp or infested with insects...so with the exception of my micallef (at the framers now), and my sepia morons (will be at the framers within days of arrival!)....all my prints are carefully but cheaply framed.

Amp, by CHAMB on Apr 11, 2007 23:26:35 GMT 1, just framed my kwan print also (& I hate doing this having never sold a print before)...I bought a set of 3 prints...but have come to the realisation that I'm very unlikely to frame all 3...so if someone is interested in the other 2 colourways please PM me rather someone buy them from me than them sit in a folder
Sent you a pm a bit ago......been hunting one down for a bit with no luck....thanks

cool, no problem the plastic spacer comes in strips 5ft long...so you'll need two for a 500x500 frame. If yr framer hasn't got any / doesn't know what it is I could always mail u a short offcut.

Amp, by romanywg on Apr 12, 2007 23:47:17 GMT 1, They are 45cm square. No mount, but replaced the old print that comes in the frame with a black paper backing. No tape used. Best to have a mount in the long run and certainly if the prints are valuable but I just wanted to get something up on to an empty wall fastish.

That's what framer loyalty gets you, happy about that, I'm going in with the frame and print tomorrow.

Amp, by pw on May 11, 2007 19:16:14 GMT 1, these spacers look like a top job. I've looked for some before, but my local framer says he never heard of them.
