I have a 50x40inch framed work that i am looking to send and am a little worried about how to go about it or who to use.
Has anyone got advice about the best way to post out large framed art?
Thanks

Sending Framed Art, by absyrd on Jan 5, 2018 23:00:42 GMT 1, I sent a few pieces close to that size. I ended up just folding the work up in tissue paper and/or newsprint and then taping it to the foamcore backing. I did NOT send glass, but offered to pay for anti-glare acrylic.

Sending Framed Art, by Vanessa Villegas Art Advisory on Jan 10, 2018 1:44:55 GMT 1, I would look for a professional packing company - usually they will ship a piece bubble wrapped with a layer of foam in a box, then another layer of foam in another box. I would try to avoid sending or using glass in frames. Always use plexiglass.
You may also look for an art courier service - not sure where you are located but I've used Artemis which covers the USA. They have dedicated trucks that only pick-up and ship fine art so they know how to handle and pack it. www.artemisfas.com

Sending Framed Art, by jay4077 on Jan 10, 2018 9:42:08 GMT 1, I have used Pack & Send twice. Both 50cm x 70cm with glass. They both arrived well packed and cost including pick up and packing was around £90.
