If someone puts a price on the secondary market buy it or donβt. That will decide itβs price.

I just want to say with strong words that stop to blame Andy ( and Gobefellow ) : why and how could we blame a gallerist ( lover of art and Banksy ) to promote a new artist ! Itβs at the contrary very kind and smart ! And shipping, services , are really awesome. Respect !

And to make a fair point is one thing, but trash everything he does based on some lies and rumours is kinda shortsighted to say the least. People now have made their point (some even several times without listening to others). Can we put it to rest and move on?
You've somewhat missed the point.
Artists are free to come here, post their work, get good or bad feedback, whatever. That's great.
But that's not the case here...
People are just questioning where this guy came from and the manner he's been promoted.
And questioning if the art justifies the price and why people would pay so much? Are they hoping he's Banksy? Or worked with Banksy? Or Is there something else going on?
It's sort of silly, but also a kind of forum policing... I'm sure no one wants people to get ripped off by galleries or artists who play games just to get extra sales. If no one questioned anything, or kicked up a fuss when they suspected wrongdoing, this place would be worse than eBay!
For people who.... - Are all interested in street-art. - Supportive of starting artists. - Visit a forum and chat about art and it's meaning. .. you guys do come across a little mean towards an artist and his fans. And to make a fair point is one thing, but trash everything he does based on some lies and rumours is kinda shortsighted to say the least. People now have made their point (some even several times without listening to others). Can we put it to rest and move on? You've somewhat missed the point. Artists are free to come here, post their work, get good or bad feedback, whatever. That's great. But that's not the case here... People are just questioning where this guy came from and the manner he's been promoted. And questioning if the art justifies the price and why people would pay so much? Are they hoping he's Banksy? Or worked with Banksy? Or Is there something else going on? It's sort of silly, but also a kind of forum policing... I'm sure no one wants people to get ripped off by galleries or artists who play games just to get extra sales. If no one questioned anything, or kicked up a fuss when they suspected wrongdoing, this place would be worse than eBay! |
