Itβs sctualky a bit
Like the Banksy one in that it is massively better in the flesh than in the pictures. Does not have the intense detail of the Banksy piece but still a very tasty piece of work. Very well finished on very nice offer a very small edition so a rather lovely piece for the collection

Paying 3k is a-lot easier than coming up with 150k! Hate it or love it I feel like Gonefellow runs along the same lines as Brainwash... but significantly better.

Then you have new members come in here and possibly buy into that storyline. I don't think people really hate the art or the artist, just how it is being promoted and the price point, which is a legitimate concern. But in the end if you want to own something buy it, but I would listen to many of the opinions on here that took the time to actually talk about the artwork.
I see plenty of art submissions in my inbox daily from artists trying to break in the art world, it is a shame that things like this happen. Id like to see more artists that are making unique and authentic art get credit. I can't exhibit everyone but I try my best to bring art that is honest. When I see work like this I might send some feedback to the artist or give them some guidance. It's a shame the artist is letting a gallery over inflate their price and value due to some demand that is based on some weird marketing or riff on Banksy. I think artists need to ask more questions from their gallery, why is it worth what it is? Why are they priced this way, what growth can the artist expect if priced lower and if he made more work. Would it be good to exhibit some real paintings also and build a legitimate collector base. Or an artist can just take the money also and not care about their career. To each their own. Ive seen years worth of Banksy rip offs in this forum and many who have made careers from it, so its nothing new, its just odd that there is still a market for it.
Because Banksy has left a void in the market without releasing these prints, I am guessing until people stop buying into these types of prints people won't stop making them. If you like the image great, if you can afford it great, but in the end people are judging the work based on the price tag and its reference to Banksy. So of course you're going to get more negative and heated discussion. If this was a 50 dollar print for fun and a shout out to Wiz, I don't think you would hear the negativity. But you allude to all these things and price it at 1500, well your'e opening yourself up to debate and being judged differently.

Banksy thing Β» ( closer than the pow skulls print - they only asked authorization and, I repeat, itβs not an artwork from an Artist but a printer and photoshop ). Gonefellow is an artist that I like in particularly how he works the Black and white - Boxhead is superb ! - and is not Banksy.
But this is not the end of the story. I wonβt tell any « secrecy Β» , even if I am far to know it, I repeat !
Donβt forget that most of the prints Gonefellow/Lonekyfarmer are for Charity.

I am Adam as my name says. The edition size is 30 and they were only sold to vips which unfortunately I am not. Given the opportunity I would have purchased one at release.Β Can we call them VIP ? Paying 3k is a-lot easier than coming up with 150k! Hate it or love it I feel like Gonefellow runs along the same lines as Brainwash... but significantly better.
Disney Shop in most large town high streets or shopping malls will provide a more authentic dumbo.
