Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by rbk on Jan 3, 2019 13:13:53 GMT 1, Your commenting but have you actually seen the piece in real format in the flesh Itβs sctualky a bit Like the Banksy one in that it is massively better in the flesh than in the pictures. Does not have the intense detail of the Banksy piece but still a very tasty piece of work. Very well finished on very nice offer a very small edition so a rather lovely piece for the collection Please don't compare Gonefellow to Banksy. Are you Andy's shill?
No I am no oneβs Shill. Just a collector. Unlike you I have seen both pieces as I have both pieces. Plus Castle had nothing to do with how I own the Banksy Dumbo. As one is based on the other seems pretty right to compare them. Especially as they are both much better in the flesh than in pics. Itβs also quite uncanny how the grey and yellow tones used are identical.
The Banksy Dumbo is exceptionally detailed in its finish. Something that can only be seen in the flesh.
Likewise the Gonefellow is a much better piece than the pics show it. However it is no where remotely close to the Banksy in detail. It is however very nicely finished.

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Lroy on Jan 3, 2019 15:09:06 GMT 1, This print was soooo last year. I resume ( anyway, what 's the name of the print ? Love for Dumbo ? Dumbo jet ? Free Wheels wiz ze Fer-rari-guson ?) :
The asking is - I am not involved, I repeat, for those that -still- don't read me - :
- The edition number ?
- The price ?
- The birth ? ( or reincarnaiton ? ) - Who explodes the third tire ?
- Is Gonefellow, Banksy, Banksy, Gonefellow, and who is Andy ( well, we still don't know in fact... )
Nobody talked about the mystery emanating from this print, which from Dismaland to Dublin, is always so poignant and funny. No one speaks either of Dumbo, wounded, and above all, of the why of this edition :
Ta Dibbs to let me quoting ya !

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by campfire headphase on Jan 3, 2019 16:21:59 GMT 1, Lots of acidity in this thread. I think the market is built on what people are willing to pay. People pay money for the trucks etc. If they like the art, what does it ultimately matter to you? If they're happy with it, you shouldn't spit on it or waste the energy. I am sure the naysayers here are buying art that other people think is rubbish too. That's art. It's subjective. I mean, look at STIK. The art never evolves but it sells for quite a bit. Dran? NO THANKS. I have one of these Dumbo prints. I've seen it in person, and you know what, I really like it.

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Dexter Bulldog on Jan 3, 2019 16:49:51 GMT 1, As far as Andy having shills on this board, thats definitely not the case. Think what you will of the whole gonefellow thing, fine, but Andy has a reputation near the top of the banksy dealers and he's not going to risk that by having multiple screennames on here chiming in about gonefellow. Thats just not his style. As far as gonefellow goes, while its not my cup of tea, people seem to like the stuff, but he's not directing people to come here and pump him up.

Yes i agree completly. This place would be so much nicer if we all could just discuss art in a more friendly and supportive way. No need for the hostility imo. Just buy what you want and what you can afford. Share images of framed art and then discuss.

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Wearology on Jan 3, 2019 17:34:41 GMT 1, I have dealt with Andy from Castle Gallery for many years and he has an impeccable reputation in the art world. He is known as an extremely honest and reliable art dealer who you can always count on. To publicly post anything negative about him in the business world and make such unfounded claims is just unwarranted.

This the same reputation that was built on selling backdoor Banksy prints on this very forum for many years? A reputation that he desperately tried to delete from this forum. To alot of people on this forum, he will always be seen as a con merchant.

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by barsukauk on Jan 3, 2019 17:50:53 GMT 1, The Only reason there is a market for this crap is because a minority of the forum bought the previous turd for about 300 quid a pop in the hope that it might turn out to be a secret banksy. Were are all the VIP Buyers showing of their new print ? apart from andy of course lol
I bet you was duppy....

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by rbk on Jan 3, 2019 18:08:32 GMT 1, No I am no oneβs Shill. It is however very nicely finished. a nicely finished turd more like. Infact a turd would be more artistic as it can be formed into many shapes and expressions. This on the other hand is just an 80's white crumbly dog turd.
Ahhh jealousy. He he take it you were not offered either.
I have both. Think that makes you the turd!!ππlol

Long way apart eg find a single person on here that Andy from Castle ripped off. I have dealt with him a lot buying and selling to him.
Always been brilliant. Have also asked his advice buying from others and always gave his thoughts willingly.
Top draw gallery and bloke for me.

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Jan 3, 2019 18:23:27 GMT 1, Both based in Northern Ireland and I don't think they are very far apart geographically speaking that is....... Long way apart eg find a single person on here that Andy from Castle ripped off. I have dealt with him a lot buying and selling to him. Always been brilliant. Have also asked his advice buying from others and always gave his thoughts willingly. Top draw gallery and bloke for me. I did say geographically speaking, long way apart in other aspects, now where did I put my Prisoners print....

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by campfire headphase on Jan 3, 2019 18:26:22 GMT 1, I would also like to say that Andy at Castle Gallery has been rather helpful to me on multiple occasions. Either buying or just seeking information, he has always been gracious with his time to me. He takes the time and gives you the attention you need on business rather than a "invoice, pay up and now fuck off" attitude. Surely all the hate is misallocated here.
I have never heard of Castle conducting poor business. The pool is just too incestuous to make any fuck-ups. Word travels quickly in this community. Incentivizing enough to stay ethical at least
What is all of this about backdoor Banksy prints at CAT? I've never heard of such a thing. Are these accusations valid? Backdoor Eine prints or something? I saw a stack of backdoor throw away Banksy prints (I mean hundreds) of Flower Throwers etc in Western US once. Think it was from a time Ben Eine was living there.
