This crew and their stay in L.A. was just smashing. They got off the plane and have been painting for six days straight. They finished two large walls, a van and a huge canvas in the live painting. Herakut left another piece downtown on top off all that...

Following a slew of murals going up across Los Angeles as part of the massive โWrinkles in the Cityโ initiative by artist TED, his latest mural takes a slightly different stance. Once omnipresent through hip-hop videos all around, the ubiquitous and controversial Westsiiiiiiiide gang sign is a departure from the usual faces shown, however it still maintains a strong humanistic link which may draw some controversy or not based on a majority desensitization to its meaning.

I'm heading to LA shortly, was supposed to be out there prior to the MOCA Street Art show coming down but alas we had to reschedule and will now miss it but had booked a 'Downtown' hotel for the trip so we're in the neighborhood.
Any tips for LA, LA LAND or Vegas come to that will be greatly appreciated.
Love your photos too, can't wait.

But the two hottest spots are the Melrose and Fairfax area (which just got this new lister piece the other day), and downtown.
Most of those shots from Sabeth are from the downtown area (the Arts District is around 3rd and Alemeda), and the Dface mural is in Culver City. Melrose just got a new mural from Lister yesterday

His work is plastered all over New York & Los Angeles. He was nice enough to give me a bunch of stickers that I have been sending out to random forum members. I bet there are not a lot of long time firefighters turned taggers out there. Enjoy !!!!!
