For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by spamhead on Jan 30, 2018 18:15:13 GMT 1, As the title says I'm selling my Banksy Morons Print.
It is an unsigned black and white version from POW from the edition of 500.
As you will see from the photo there are three separate small creases down the centre of the print, I have tried to show these as best as I can.
I have a COA for the print. Ask me any questions you may have.
Asking £5450. Buyer to meet the cost of postage how ever they want it sent and any associated fees.

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by jay4077 on Jan 31, 2018 9:32:25 GMT 1, PHILIPS Auctions had a hammerprice on £14K for a signed Morons, so I think even a mint unsigned morons would struggle to achieve a price of £8k

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by bbperez1 on Jan 31, 2018 23:45:40 GMT 1, Is that sort of damage repairable? absolutely. But you'll have to take it to a paper restorer. And a print of this caliber demands a very good repairer because if you cheap out on the restoration then you'll have a bigger mess on your hands. And restoration aren't cheap either.

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by Lunch Special on Feb 1, 2018 0:01:03 GMT 1, granted the damage affects the selling price, but to be honest this is such a strong and impactful image by the man himself, its hard to believe it isn't worth the asking price in mint condition...
good luck with the sale/trade

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by spamhead on Feb 1, 2018 0:14:20 GMT 1, Thanks for all the love!!!! Anyone would think that this print is a total mess, I have tried to take close up pictures to give an accurate impression, when you look at it from a distance it is hard to see the 'damage', yes perhaps that asking price is wrong on reflection and I should have done a little more research, I haven't been keeping abreast of thing for a while, but £4K is very low ball.
At the day the demand will dictate the price, I'm happy to receive offers.

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by Deleted on Feb 1, 2018 0:31:44 GMT 1, Yeah I'd get it restored, I'm having trouble to think of a reason someone would buy and frame a print in this condition. Or they would have to be able to snag it up really cheap but even 4k seems expensive in this condition. Once it's restored I'm sure you could get like 5.5 for it as that seems to be the price for the lower end unsigned Banksy's like Grannies and Morons right now.

Please point me to either at 5.5....
Haven't seen a Grannies or Morons under 8k in over 6 months, I've been looking for a Grannies and haven't seen one under 7.5k mint since last fall

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by jluhiex on Feb 1, 2018 2:06:50 GMT 1, Take it to auction.
People at auction tend to care less or are careless (don’t check condition report). There have been Banksy prints in horrendous condition that continue to sell at amazing auction prices. I tend to think those bidding at auctions are the wealthy who just want a Banksy and will bid at whatever cost, galleries who sell to wealthy clients that really don’t care about condition, and then there’s the people on this forum who want everything in gem mint 10 condition or its only worth half its value.
With that being said 8k is pricing 6months to a year from now. So if you happen to hold it someone will bring up this post asking if it’s been sold a year from now and if you haven’t sold it by then you’ll want 10k. So it just all depends on how intent you are on selling.

I've got to agree here. First of all I have one of these and it is big and beautiful on thick paper, a true work of heart and in my opinion currently very undervalued. If anyone can find one of these in mint condition for £8000 then buy, because I don't think you will, I suspect galleries would sell this closer to £10k. Like the OP says the damage is light and sounds like it could restored fairly well. I would expect this to get a minimum of 6k. And right, auctioning may be the best way to go. As for HAND, again I have one this is a fantastic print with a great story and actually one of my favorites, again seriously undervalued at present, I think you would be lucky to get a mint one for £7-8000. But as always it depends who your buying from. I tell my friends that Banksy has 4 prices: peer to peer, dealer, gallery and auction, the auction being the wild card. I hope this is helpful, and yes I am bias and love my prints.

For Sale - BANKSY - MORONS - UPDATED, by spamhead on Feb 15, 2018 18:14:56 GMT 1, After a lot of comments and discussions I have revised the price of the print, the new price takes into account the damage of the print and the likely cost to get it repaired, which is estimated to be around £600.
Therefore my new asking price is £5450, I would prefer collection so to avoid postage costs and also to the buyer has seen the print and is happy with the deal. If this isn’t possible then I will post it but postage and fees will need to be taken into account.
Please note I will not be selling this print for £4000 or below so please don’t PM me saying the condition is terrible and that is all it is worth. Thanks.
Happy to answer any further questions.
