As for me, i can take any jokes, slaggings and well able to handle anything shoved at me. I'm not and won't have a user call my wife and children names, NEVER EVER. I have seen some women on this site being attacked left, right and center. What man wants to send abusive messages to any woman. We all try now to teach our children not to bully other children. Well i think the children could teach some (and i use the word some, because most can behave themselves here) adults on this site a thing or two.

The current structure makes this more a marketplace, than an art forum. That's what I view as the cause of this slide downhill.
I feel that for sale threads shouldn't allow comments from members who aren't interested in purchasing the artworks, unless someone is selling fraudulent items. If the price is too high on something and someone buys it, then oh well. Harassing others and being easily goaded makes for a childish environment that no one wants to visit. This being said, I don't expect that to ever change in the For Sale thread, so I'd prefer that the two areas are segregated. A latest threads for non sale threads and a latest for sale. Who knows if that's even possible.

Hello, you are way off the mark having a dig at Bren. Heโs a thoroughly decent chap, and a great contributor to this forum. Have a look through his posts and you will see.
I have some sympathy with your concerns. There does not appear to be a great deal of Bon Ami on this forum at the moment. I remain of the view that flipping should receive a reasonably negative response on this forum, but I am now I think in a minority regarding this, and so have stopped taking issue with it. That aside I do think itโs a shame that as a community we cannot seem to speak to each other with a little more respect.
But - You may not be addressing this in the best way, by goading people to take issue with you.

Banters good( bren etc wheres drplip?)and debate but the self importance level among some members casts a dark cloud for everyone in what was a place for sharing knowledge on art/artists. Yes they can make a comment, but to be honest why even waste your time making a comment, noting will change. The poster is right if someone is selling, just let them on its their goods to do as they please. If they want to wish them good luck so be it, not lash them out of it with abusive comments.
