CWS is my absolute favorite Banksy, period. Even if they were released as an unlimited litho (like Soup Cans), I would definitely have one on my wall. That image is simply the tits.

I chose "not particularly interested" since I think the images are good but not great. I think the exclusivity is a big part of why people like them. CWS just isn't that powerful an image to me because so many artists before banksy have used the image of Christ to stir up emotion. It has been done to death. I'm also not a big fan of the rat prints in general (great on the street, not so great on my wall), but Radar Rat is the best of them because it is truly unique among his prints, having the hand sprayed rings. I actually think THAT makes this print really stand out from the other rats in a much bigger way than simply a low number being produced.

I do think that if banksy had done some of his other images in low numbers like these they would be going for much more today that either RR or CWS. Take flower thrower for example. To me that image IS banksy. It is on the cover of wall and piece after all, so I reckon Banksy himself is most proud of it. I do think that an edition of 75 in black and white with different colors for the flowers (like the canvas) would be worth a lot of money if he ever did them. And I'm sure GWB would be worth more than CWS or RR too if it were in an edition of just 75.

The rats are as stated before classic Banksy stuff, the RR is the one I am missing and would very much like to have, the christ is another Banksy image but less appealing to the masses than Love is in the air, BME etc.. in a similar vein to scary Mary, alot of us still have some attachment to religion and feel its a bit naughty to like such images. Dont know if that makes it better or worse.. ?? HMMM??

not fussed about CWS, but I would like to selfishly 'own' a radar rat

1) coz I've seen it on the street and it has a resonance and history to it for me. A real banksy.

2) coz it has that special feature of the hand sprayed rings. the closest many of us will get to a canvas :-)

i'd be wary of that cws... new seller with no feedback; stock photo & very little detail in the info.

That CWS really looks like a con, no mention of print size, or that POW printed it, hasn't even mentioned it's a screen print, it could just be printed on a computer onto A4 paper!! I think if you bought it you'd have no come back.

So here goes! Needle in a haystack time. Has anyone got a Christ With Shopping Bag that they might sell?

Andipa were buying in for that in March! Selling out at 19k, Think you are looking at 17 - 20k!!!!

Really don't see it going close to 20k. Radar rat only made 11.1k recently. I think the market feels that the cheaper prints are actually better investments at the moment. A sportsmans bet says that it will go for closer to 14k than 20k. On?

Hmmm, you're probably right, still think slightly under estimated! Ages since last one sold on ebay, think that went for about 9ish? Come on worldstandsup, get it listed, sort this bet out for us!!
