Posting Spraypaint cans in UK...., by matp on Mar 6, 2018 23:28:32 GMT 1, Has anyone sent aerosol spray cans in the UK?
I have a Montana artist can to send to someone, but all the postage places say no aerosols in their small print!! Any recommendations, or do i just send anyway!!

Posting Spraypaint cans in UK...., by cogitobcn on Mar 7, 2018 9:16:47 GMT 1, Probably it's a silly comment, but I have always assumed that these "artists cans" were empty, so I thought that the security-related small prints don't apply to them because they don't contain gas or flammable products.

Posting Spraypaint cans in UK...., by Guy Denning on Mar 7, 2018 10:07:18 GMT 1, Once I've exhausted the can (thoroughly so there's no sound of escaping gas when you hold down the cap) I puncture the base with a nail (on a piece of wood that's bigger than the can base), while it's covered with an old towel. Then if you stand the can up and leave it in a warm room (not my sub-zero barn studio) the remaining paint will dry and capture the steel balls inside too. Pack the can in foam or bubblewrap, then a cardboard outer and add a photocopied piece of paper stating that the aerosol can is a decorative object, has been drained of fluid and gas and is not under pressure.
