They attempted to board in the rough sleepers today and only managed half the building... we are still there & and provision shelter for 100 rough sleepers & these boards are ripe for some creativity if anyone wants to have a go...

It’s a scandal that so many people still sleep rough, so many in need to care. I heard recently that some councils were buying rough sleepers tickets to different counties. Unless that was at the recipients request, to get near family (which I doubt), that’s scandalous.

Thank you all for reading...we appreciate each day we are here to be able to do this and show that so much can be done with unused buildings.

Food and sleeping bags donations still welcome as more new guests arrive each day, just knock on the door at the back.. Over 100 now here in shelter with food & we still operate serving food on the streets in our locations on top of this with Refugee Community Kitchen (who serve food in Calais) & StreetVet who treat our homeless doggie friends too.

No problem, i know what its like to try raise goods etc for the homeless, i do it over here from time to time. These are all brand new never worn. I will ship them in the morning and P.M you a tracking number. Well done to you Sir, great work. We have a huge problem over here with it, and many have lost their lives because of it. I hope this thread will bang home to people how lucky they are to have a roof over their heads. Come on all members go buy a sleeping bag, or maybe you have one your not using, or even a blanket. If you can't drop it in, then post it, address is above!

Exactly, I think 5 yrs it's been empty & owners based in Jersey they think, and paying little tax ... & snow predicted this weekend -2.

Surely it would do no harm to the tax dodging wealthy owners to allow whoever needs to to stay there until alternative safe places are found?  I'm sure if you asked most of the residents of London/UK they would much prefer to help the homeless and people in need rather than enable the super rich to continue exploiting us all, backed up by laws specifically made to protect their own wealth.  I read this in Wired today, an interesting idea that although doesn't solve the problem of homelessness all at once, is a definite step in the right direction and could potentially be a huge help to anyone that finds themselves in need of an address. link to wired design museum proxy address
