Stik Gallery Card Fakes?, by rambo901 on Apr 8, 2018 19:17:27 GMT 1, Hello.
Just wanted to gather some thoughts from the forum on these gallery cards. Fakes or not fakes. The colours seem a bit off compared to others I've seen - especially the blue and green ones.
Thanks in advance

Stik Gallery Card Fakes?, by rambo901 on Apr 12, 2018 0:32:36 GMT 1, rambo901 here are mine and they are DEF real - got them at the show
Thanks for sharing Dreadnatty! Much appreciated. I'm assuming yours don't look/feel hand cut! I popped the two pictures together and if you look closely the Stik figure also slightly differs. The image I have are the ones which are advertised on forum auctions/artsy etc but looking at the Dorian Grey page they match yours above.
I'm currently being told these were also given out in Japan and London which is why they differ slightly. Which is weird as Dorian Grey is based in NYC. Unless I'm mistaken?
I'm hopeful for a refund however and will not be accepting the offer of returning and being sent new ones which have colours closer to the ones I'm referencing (which the seller was keeping for themselves)
Fingers and toes crossed!

Stik Gallery Card Fakes?, by Wearology on Apr 12, 2018 3:23:53 GMT 1, Dorien Grey Gallery was only based in NY. If anybody tells you that there were cards printed outside the US they are incorrect. I have photos of the original batch of these cards from December 2012 and will post close up front and back pics in the AM. Its funny I gave away over 100 of these almost 6 years ago.

Stik Gallery Card Fakes?, by Deleted on Apr 19, 2018 17:53:40 GMT 1, I enquired about these pieces when on ebay and was given som old "pony" about the colour changes on different computer screens and was even sent a link to back this up
The colours are just wrong and the seller was quite agressive telling me it was my laptop that was the issue not the cards...

The set Chiswick sold were signed book prints not showcards. We have subsequently been offered showcard sets they are being closely vetted for authenticity and provenance.

Haha - I was sent a YouTube video about colours changing from phone/computer screen to real life. I didn't bother watching it. I was then offered several others and sent various pictures over a few days because the colour in the photo looked more like the colours I was wanting. Clearly just printing them and altering. Regardless- the Stik character on the official ones look different to the fakes if you looks closely enough.
I haven't even returned the item but got my refund after a few days of cold shoulder tactics - must have made the seller nervous. I was getting angry messages and then it completely flipped when I went quiet and I was offered everything. At least this is one set off the market to save someone in the future!

Stik Gallery Card Fakes?, by thrash822 on Apr 30, 2021 16:42:34 GMT 1, Signatures look right, and he will sign the middle sometimes if he is personalizing them, like on a 1/1 basis, I've seen one from a friend and Stik put his name there in the middle. So to me looks good but I'm not as familiar with the gallery cards themselves just the signature and handwriting
