This has turned up on Stik Facebook, apparently it was from an illegitimate art fare that didn't quite go as planned.
A nice piece of random Stik history and its legit as posted on his page.

The Christie’s ‘print’ for £60k will probably be the little big mum original on timber that sold a couple of weeks ago.

This one has been given the OK from Stik, its more than a doodle, it represents something from his past. As such has been authenticated. Not something you would get with the book sketches. Its not an original as such (although obviously it is!), its a legitimised sketch though. Cool pick up for someone if you ask me. |

It’s not going to make print money I wouldn’t think. But it’s worth a few grand of someone’s money. It’s a legitimate piece, sketch or otherwise and will be an authenticated piece. On of very few sketches with any prov.

Hmmmm, assault rifles are so cliche these days here in the states so I’m probably going to go with some throwing stars! I’ll see if stik will doodle on one of them too.

Re the 'real price' of the Stik poster, I find it ludicrous that any piece of art, particularly street art, goes for such vast amounts. Even Banksys. I just can't imagine ever being a good enough artist to ever demand these sorts of amounts. But, if that sort of price is the amount which people may pay for something, then I guess that seals it's monetary worth.
I have random doodles and all sorts, from various musicians and other artists, authors etc. But I wouldn't be interested in parting with them - I asked them to doodle on set lists etc because memories are important to me.
Perhaps I'm sitting on a fortune. Or perhaps not one else would see the worth in them which I do.
I don't know.
I love the simplicity of Stik's art. Reminds me of my cartoons. And Cyanide & Happiness. I tend to prefer the simplistic versus the detailed.
