Anyone else surprised that a pulp fiction print which is creased in a couple of places (at least the seller was upfront about it), is currently at 720 pounds? Who is buying damaged prints? Im confused...no offense to those who buy them/it, but wouldn't you rather spend that kinda cash on something in better condition?

People are getting nutty about that. There was a HAND a week or two ago that brought almost 1,000 and it had some deep creases on the corner after falling off a wall and having the frame and glass smash! There was also a HMV in similar condition that did something like 850... simply insane.

I was willing to buy both, but only because a very close friend of mine works as a conservator at the Museum of Modern Art in NY and he told me after seeing photos that he could probably straighten them out enough to where they would look OK in the frame. I was looking at paying half what the final bids were because then I would have to pay for the restoration and in the end... its still an imperfect print. I would have been cool with the idea because I just wanted to have the image, but not for anywhere near those prices! You are correct... why not spend the few extra hundred and have a perfect one!

Yes, I asked the seller and she said it wasn't paid for. She probably should have mentioned that in the listing. I like this print, currently at £720 as the high bidder has withdrawn their bid (brand new ebayer.....)

£1,081 for a creased version from a 7 feedback seller on a re-list... or £1,150 for a perfect one with full provenance like Nu just sold.

just shows that damages aren't putting people off.

i find that most people want things perfect and I must admit that any framed prints I have kept for myself are perfect too. Nothing worse than natural sunlight highlighting a big crease on your friendly fire! But, unless the fibres in the paper are torn maybe the buyer is going to get it restored and flip it back on the bay as perfect condition, or maybe he/she will frame it and enjoy it. Def a good one to keep.

I've never actually had anything restored although I recently got a Micallef JD framed for myself and they ruined it! They creased it, float mounted it and thought I'd never notice. looks bad! They are currently getting it restored so I'll ask how much.

I sent an email earlier to the seller on this asking about provenance, this is the reply back:

"I purchased this item from a women who worked on the set of
Pulp Fiction - I was informed by the seller that 4 signed prints
were given to Samuel , Uma , John & Quentin compliments of
Banksy . 1 of these signed prints was sold on ebay during the
week of 7/05/07 - 7/012/07 for over 10,000 lbs. / $20,000. I
understand and respect why you are asking the question about
the provenance. To my knowledge all signed one offs are not
stamped by POW , LAZ Inc. or Santas Ghetto. I recently started
a small organic clothing company and the sale of this item will
help with the mounting start up costs. The piece is authentic
and I put my 100% E-Bay rating on the line. Thank you and feel
