Documents/paperwork/COA , by artguy1 on May 1, 2018 3:30:20 GMT 1, Does anyone here ever attach all documents/COA/bill of sale to the rear of the frame, perhaps in a plastic sleeve? A friend suggested it’s a good way to keep documents with the piece but wondering if anyone has done it or has any tips?

Safe, safety deposit box, or well hidden in a file.

Documents/paperwork/COA , by rebate on May 1, 2018 10:44:57 GMT 1, They are about somewhere. When I need one I hunt it down.
NEVER stick them to the back of the pieces! As said above, it will only end in them being stolen together should it happen, and will make it a bit /a lot easier for them to sell it.

Documents/paperwork/COA , by spacemanspiff on Jul 27, 2018 21:50:09 GMT 1, Phew thanks for the tips. Was looking online for a plastic sleeve but figured I should check on the forum first. Will probably stick it in a secret file somewhere.

best advice is to store them where you won't lose them. i've attached docs to back of frames in a plastic sleeve before. however, i wouldn't do it with a signed banksy & pest control COA.
if you are worried about people breaking into your place and stealing framed artwork, i'd suggest a new circle of friends.

Documents/paperwork/COA , by shy on Jul 28, 2018 16:05:35 GMT 1, I store mine in a safety deposit box. It's also good to store your original bill of sale.
If your art is valuable then I strongly recommend you insure your art. It's inexpensive if you put it as a rider on your home insurance policy.
