What does Girl With Balloon say to you???, by RetroCanvas on Feb 25, 2006 19:23:12 GMT 1, Just was wondering what peoples feelings were about what the message is here if there is one.

My interpretation of this is that the little girl cant reach out to something that is slowly moving away from her, but is the girl really making any effort doesn't look like it to me, being an animation student this says to me there is no real emotion in this other than an image of a girl and a balloon, she looks far too stiff for me to make the image look convincing? maybe she wants this to move away? who knows?
All I can say is at this moment in time I'm thinking shall I be sick in my sink or run to the toilet!!!!!!!

Its a bit too plain for me.
I think most people like it coz its a nice easy one to have on the wall, in the way its not controversial like the Rude Copper or Victoria.

A monkey queen went for ยฃ1000 on ebay recently and id say G/W Ballon is a much nicer print, I sugest, put it on ebay for a 7 day auction and start it at 99p so ppl dont think your being greedy and i think you will get a good response and might just get over a grand for it maybe.

I think so too! I think it's somewhat along the lines of the Bomb Hugger image - with everything that's going on in the world today, the image of innocent little girls holding balloons in their carefree childhood has been tarnished. Thus the image of the girl losing the balloon and yearning, reaching out, but in futility.
