Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by ca on May 24, 2018 23:46:16 GMT 1, Off the bat, I can count on one hand the number of forum hyped artists whose markets have taken off. The rest have shat themselves, gone nowhere or disappeared into obscurity given the decade they have been operating. As talented as they were, Micallef, Nick Walker, Adam Neate just to name a few. Remember these guys markets when they were hyped 10 years ago? to me, Dolk also comes to mind as very similar track record; people were buying everything and also paying stupid prices on the secondary market (3-4k + for an emerging artist print)
not saying they will have the same career and have the same talent but the hype level is getting ridiculously close

Remember these guys markets when they were hyped 10 years ago? I hope this isnโt the case for Pejac but I guess only time will tell. I hope Max has a good game plan to keep him relevant and in demand!!! I love Pejacโs wit in his art. People love Invader and all he does are Atari symbols (generally) but he has made it for years. This might be attributed to his extensive street work. Pejac needs to be on the street a bit more in my humble opinion...

Micallef has a successful career, does he not? Or are you talking only about about prints?

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by Express Post on May 25, 2018 12:44:28 GMT 1, I just spoke with Laz gallery about original canvases circa 2011 to 2017. Lots of stock available that arent online. They offered discounts if I bought a few. So paintings affected too.
Checked out just Sothebys results. Didn't bother checking Christies or Phillips.
2007 100cm by 70 cm canvas ยฃ38k and a whole lot of others for around that size and price. We also had a piece achieve ยฃ18k for a 40cm by 50cm
2017 153cm by 130cm canvas ยฃ8k
Solo exhibitons, pretty much at Laz galleries. No art fairs lately, or restrospective shows at any of the major museums, just a show at a regional gallery which also hosts the annual beer fest in October and weddings, or Poland.
So to answer you, Micallef has been successful enough to make a living as a full time artist. But having appeared on my radar back in 2005, we are now in 2018, father time has spoken and 'computer says no'.

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by Express Post on May 25, 2018 19:12:22 GMT 1, Whoops. I stand corrected. Didnt scroll down far enough on his bio. ABHK and Art Brussels are reputable.
But regardless, you cant ignore the fact that the auction prices are less than impressive. Will give Pearl Lam a call today to see if they have inventory. Because if the gallery aint sellin, AM aint gettin paid

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by Flashback on Jun 12, 2018 16:11:18 GMT 1,
A FOREST Edition of 80 105 x 75 cm 1 color hand pulled photopolymer Velin 270grs Embossed stamp, signed and numbered by the artist Includes Certificate of Authenticity 1.280โฌ (VAT included, packing and shipping not included)
Marking the opening of his upcoming exhibition "Waterline" in Paris, Pejac will be releasing a new limited edition print for the occasion.
For this release, the artist picked the main image from his previous Venice show, a large charcoal drawing "A Forest". Depicting a fantastical landscape dominated by the smog-covered industrial chimneys letting out thick, dark smoke, which then form a hilly landscape in the sky, the iconic drawing felt like a perfect fit for this particular show. Presenting the unjust and careless relationship between humans and nature, the piece is a great example of artist's ability to compose beautiful poetic images while portraying a dark, disturbing reality. At the same time, it shows his extraordinary artistic skills and drawing technique, creating both soft, dreamy imagery while accenting the important details in great detail.
The edition was produced through a manual, painstaking process conducted and closely overlooked by the artist, resulting in each copy taking up to 1hr of work to create. Involving 5 long and precise steps for each copy, the edition run of only 80 examples measuring 105 x 75 cm (41.33 x 29.52 inches) will be available for purchase. Produced on Vein 270grs paper using 1 color hand pulled photopolymer technique, each copy has an embossed stamp, comes signed and numbered by the artist and is accompanied with Certificate of Authenticity.
The print will be sold through a lottery system for which show visitors can purchase tickets in cash, and in person only. Each ticket has to be allocated to a different person (name, email, and address), but multiple tickets can be purchased by one show visitor. Each ticket will cost โฌ20 and will be honoured with an exclusive postcard/small print measuring 21 x 15 cm, available only through this lottery. All the funds collected through lottery tickets will be donated to the locally based environmental NGO Fondation GoodPlanet.
The aim of Fondation GoodPlanet is to raise public awareness on environmental issues and environmental protection, to bring ecology and humanism into people's conscience and so to encourage a more respectful way of life towards the Earth and its inhabitants.
The winners will be contacted on July 28th via email with instructions on how to proceed with the purchase. All details of "Waterline" exhibition can be found at www.pejac.es

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by GMA on Jun 12, 2018 16:16:34 GMT 1, Received that email too, gutted as I won't be able to make the show at all and it's only people who visit who get a chance to buy a lottery ticket. If there is a kind soul on here that is going and would be happy to purchase one for me, and I can send them a bank transfer and give my details. I'd greatly appreciate it. If you can, let me know please. Cheers

I think he'd have been better off making it five euros and allowing people to purchase online. Although I can see why it has been done this way. Still gutted though, I love that one too.

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by chevyav53 on Jun 12, 2018 16:24:26 GMT 1, Sucks has to be in person, was excited at first that there might be a chance. No one will proxy names for others unless doing so for small money. The smart ones will just try for themselves if flipping.

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by raphyki55 on Jun 12, 2018 16:24:51 GMT 1, Interesting release way The only thing is, the more name you proxy for others, less your chances to win are.... And now we will have new form of flippers : getting paid for adding names ... You forgot to add: Full disclosure, I live in Paris and will be attending so would prefer fewer tickets sold.
Absolutely right For once that we have something in Paris Anyway, good luck to everyone

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by froncz on Jun 12, 2018 16:32:19 GMT 1, I was hoping for a surprise drop sometime after the show but I guess it's better than the regular F5-ing. A bit sad if that is to be his only print release this year (it's gonna be almost exactly a year since Scarecrow). If someone is going and would be kind enough to pick up a ticket for me, it would be great but I guess the chances are slim...
