Selling Banksy prints, by bobbinhk on May 13, 2018 3:35:51 GMT 1, Hello, new to the forum and first post. I own 8 signed/numbered and framed Banksy prints, all with PC certs. I am based in Hong Kong but potentially relocating to the United States (East Coast) in the next 2-3 months. I've collected the prints over the last 4-8 years and I am considering selling all or most of them. I want to ask forum members what they feel is the best method for selling these prints given where I am currently or may be located in the future. For instance, is Hong Kong a good market for Banksy? Thanks in advance for any advice...

Selling Banksy prints, by Dexter Bulldog on May 20, 2018 16:56:30 GMT 1, I’d speak to a reputable dealer personally eBay is a no And sadly here has become pretty bad. You will have people tell you that you’re asking too much over and over again and then waste your time with pms from their other accounts low balling you trying to get you to submit. Or they’ll ask you to keep doing the same things wasting your time, potentially putting your work at risk taking out of the flat file for the 14 th time to get just that right angle and right light for another photo, all the while not getting even an opening offer from them, just time wasting and asking you “but can you go lower? What’s your best? What’s the best you can do?” And then they low ball you from there.
For giving up maybe a 10-15 percent margin (but maybe not even) I’d say its worth it to research a top dealer.
Perhaps others can weigh in on the auction route, I have no experience there

Selling Banksy prints, by Deleted on May 20, 2018 17:02:06 GMT 1, As a seller I’d go with Artnet. They have had some solid results and charge the seller 0% in fees for works over $10k.

Selling Banksy prints, by touchdowntodd on May 20, 2018 17:09:51 GMT 1, If there's a market, Hong Kong will no doubt overpay IMHO....
But I've no idea on market or representation. I just know everything seems to be going higher there than anywhere else in the world for obvious reasons
August had good advice
If you bring them stateside, or even if not, hexagon in Cali seems to get people really high prices. No idea on their commission
