i bought the mr.dobtopus in november from the seller ´soleforsoleshop´ (100% positive feedback)on ebay for tripple the retail price plus i had to pay an extra for ebay´s buyer protection(incl shipping+ customs)to europe.i had contact with the seller till february...till the 90 days were up(ebay saves all infos for 90 days and then cancels it,including contact with the seller) since i bought the mr.dob 2016...and know that bait has issuses delivering the item,i thought i´d wait a bit...knowing the release being first in march,then postponed to june.
a couple of days ago i tried contacting the seller again...no response. after doing quite some research...i finally found their internet site which isn´t really trustworthy. ...google keeps spitting out the words fraud and scam;-(
contacting payal wasn´t really that helpful either,since the purcharse was more than 180 days ago.(which means that buyers protection is no longer valid)
i´m probably going to lose my money...and the dob figure,but am curious if any of you have ever been in the same situation buying expensive art off various channels from sellers you´ve never seen...and maybe getting ripped off.
it would be more then grateful if you could(maybe) help out a (pretty pissed) collector brother.

The only thing I can think of is trying to contact the bank and tell them to open a chargeback case for the item, but you would have to check the timing as it always depends on the laws on the country (I think in the UK it's not possible if you paid with PayPal unless you paid as a guest).

Did you have any luck renewing your eBay agreement?i on the other hand haven’t had any luck what so ever with eBay,nor PayPal...so...I lost a lot of money,the dobtopus...& the ambition to buy anything on pre-sale for loads of money on the bay.

I always do the same just in case. Don't trust PayPal to always make the right decision
