Is the handfinishings mostly the paint splatters all over? Just curious what "heavily hand finished" means in this context. Very lovely piece! Those coffee drips are traditional Faile, but by "heavily hand finished" I mean that this has much more hand finishing when compared to their newer/recent releases. In the recent releases, it's just coffee stains and maybe a little bit of paint here or there. For this release, the feathers, mask, parts of the clothing, background, the woman's hair, etc. all have hand finishing. |

I really dislike those tea stain drips, especially that one on her leg. Very nice print otherwise. GLWTS. Thats what Faile is all about!!! I know, I know....but I just can't get on board with it. Every time Faile releases a print there is something purposefully sloppy about it that bugs me. It's like the potential for a perfect print is there, and then they do something to make it less appealing in my eyes. I guess that's what they're going for but it keeps me on the sidelines. Shame because I quite like the images and concepts, but the execution isn't my cup of tea (no pun intended). |
