Can see why some love it, just not my cuppa. The pics of the show are ace though looks like a nice selection and a great space.

The lenticular is not high art, its a postcard throwaway idea (Julian Opie, set of 5 ยฃ20). If you like them all well and good, for me, Dface is becoming increasingly derivative, even of himself these days.
I brought a friend along last night, who had never heard of most of the people on show. He said why would someone want a sex pistols poster with a chicken bone coming out the queens head, it cracked me up!

Agreed. I would've said something similar if I wasn't suffering after the free beer from last night. There was a George Washington D*Face there last night that was equally as brilliant, Nick Walker's London on canvas was a sight to behold, and all in all was a top night.
First time I saw the D*Face, I thought it was in a light box until Sarah at BRP put me straight.. back to sleep now...

I was very excited last night to be going to White noise opening as this was to be the first opening i had been to.
I had read a lot about the new D*Face special edition release and was very excited to see that, though didn't have the money to buy it. However once i actually saw it, to tell the truth i wasn't that impressed. Sure it was great at first, but as the night went on i became less impressed. And at ยฃ1,200 there is much better value in the market. For example, for an extra ยฃ300, you could have picked up his collage #1,2 or 3 (however I'm sure these were actually sold before the night)
for me the best value of the night was the nick walker morning after print. And yes, I'm now kicking myself for not getting it as I'm sure its sold out. Ironically, i think the worst value of the night was nick walkers London canvas. It was stunning, however at ยฃ11,000 I'm sure there is more bang for your buck.
All in all, it was a great night. I'm angry at myself at not buying nicks print, however at the same time trying to tell myself it doesn't matter because the next 2 D*Face releases are going to be AMAZING! (Fingers crossed)

I saw two items at lunchtime when I picked mine up. One completely and one in a half open draw. The one I saw totally is a definite buy for me (if I can conveniently forget I am on a no print purchase month in December). The other is v colourful and I could only see a portion of it so can't say either way other than the printing itself looked stunning.
