I have to admit, I think three sales on one year is pushing things a bit. The format has been picked up by quite a few other publishers as well, all for charity which is very commendable. I have bought from a few of them, and still find Magnum the best - high quality, signed and comes well packed with some blurb.

But still, as enjoyable as they are, I am running out of road for small format prints!

I am also waiting to receive my order from the last square print sale. I inquired yesterday and received the following response:

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our frame supplier, a local business in New York, has only very recently been able to re-open their business and production of frames for Magnum print orders has just begun to resume. Therefore, we currently anticipate being able to start shipping framed print orders towards the end of July, but we will update you as soon as possible.

Crikey I didn't realise it was a vogue tie in. I'm a sucker for fashion photography.

Have bought photos from the last three Magnum Sales. However I have still not received the photos from the sale in April. I do fully appreciate the challenges in this period with getting the stickers all signed etc but they did advise in June they had been shipped when in fact they had only created a ticket for DHL to pick up. (Waybill can be created without pickup being arranged!) In early July Mike from the magnum shop said the tracking info would be updated once the courier had picked up. That has not yet happened. Maybe they have been too busy arranging the next sale this week to ship out the orders from 3 and a half months ago. Looking fwd to seeing this sale and delivery in the next 4-6 months or so is anyone else having this issue or just me?

Thank you Kwatis and hope yours turn up. My order was for unframed prints so still not sure why if they were able to send photos to framers why they were not able to send them to customers.

Thanks again Kwatis and with the covid situation totally understand the need to be patient. I just do not understand why on 25th June they emailed saying “This is to inform you that we have shipped the items below from order # xxxx via DHL Express Domestic.” It was only DHL that set the record straight which Magnum then admitted was the case. Oh well will give Magnum another month and see if they can respond. Will give this sale a pass though. All the best and thanks for your responses too.

There are some really great images there in this round.

I had a few on the short list. The Hoepker, the Robert Capa (i'd love to own one of his prints and if you get a chance read his autobiography). I really liked the Hassan Hajjaj. Which I think was my fav image overall it's a very cool vibrant image.

However the Capa image didn't do it for me, i thought it was a bit boring and being a portrait photographer and looking at the other Magnum prints i've got (as well as the empty black frame) the Hoepker Ali portrait was a no brainer.

If anyones got any images of their Magnum prints framed and on the wall, i'd love to see them. Love seeing how people display their prints.

I think we have very similar tastes. I've got two of those prints. The McCullin & the Parr, although i'm still waiting for the Parr to arrive from the last square print sale.

Oh where did you get the frames from? are they the Magnum ones or from somewhere else?

It usually takes me a couple of visits to Magnum to decide so not sure yet what to do.
In any case, it will be less than usual. Maybe only the Enri Canaj and put it next to the Welcome Mat.

I frame all of my in the same way, colours depend on the motif. I want to keep the frames as small as possible & they all have a Plexiglas backside.
