Magnum Square Print Sale Password?, by jp on Oct 17, 2022 21:28:55 GMT 1, Elliot Erwitt prints will be stamped, like all Erwitt prints since the June 2019 sale. That sale took him nearly 6 months to sign them all, and Magnum announced all future Erwitt prints would be estate stamped.
Some of the other major photographers will likely end up doing the same if the demand is too high and it becomes a burden.

The Capa - I've always loved these images & the story behind them, him as a character and a photographer, if you get a chance do read the Blood and Champagne book about his life.
Bruce Gilden - such a cool photographer - had a chance to meet him in 2016 when we were both speaking at the Photographers Show at the NEC. Always loved his photos & technique (for his street portraits) but have been waiting for something the family would like on the wall, rather than his usual images which are too 'harsh' for them. This one is a lot of fun.
Luke Stephenson - This is such a nice image and my wife fell in love with it, so who am I to argue. Will look amazing in a white frame.
I could have got a few more as well, but trying to be sensible.
I can't find a discount code anywhere, so if anyone knows of one, that would really help. I do love these Magnum Square Print Sales so much.

I've been using these frames. They fit perfectly and come in black or white. I do take them to my framers to cut a mount, photocopy the back of the image and stick it on the reverse of the frame, and put them all together. It's much better value that way and they're OK doing a few at a time.

I'm assuming you're getting the 8"x8" frames? It's the 10" that pops up on that link. Nope, they are the 10 x 10 frames. I think they work well for prints that size. Any smaller and the print might feel squashed / not have enough space. |
